Very nice, small hotel right in the center of Funchal. Rooms and public areas have a nice finishing touch. Beds and bathroom comfortable, breakfast super. Nice touch from the staff for my birthday :-).

Nag-aalok ng outdoor pool at spa center, ang Castanheiro Boutique Hotel ay makikita sa Funchal at 500 metro mula sa Marina do Funchal. May year-round outdoor pool at hot tub ang hotel. Excellent stay, stuff, spa, room, restaurant, everything was really amazing. We loved it!!

Makikita sa luntiang, ni-landscape na hardin, nagtatampok ang 5-star Quintinha São João ng spa at mga indoor at outdoor heated swimming pool. The setting and rooms are lovely … the bar area is a beautiful setting, breakfast and dinner is delicious BUT what puts this property over the top is the staff 5 star all the way!

Exceptionally beautiful gardens - they are actually a botanical garden. The pool was very clean, sunbeds very comfortable. There is also a nice jacuzzi. Room was big and had a stunning view over the hills and city. Also very clean. Housekeeping was every day there. Breakfast is half a la carte and half buffet, in the gardens. A variety of cooked eggs and toasts. The most friendly and professional staff I encountered so far. I would mention only one moment when we had an issue with our rent a car company and could not get a car. The staff helped us find a car, had it delivered to and from hotel etc. The hotel also offers valet parking and complementary shuttle bus to and from the city at specific hours. There are also some buses that drive near the hotel and of course taxis.

Orquidea opens out on to an extra-large roof-top terrace, overlooking Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. The location is quite good and the rooms are spacious. The bathroom and the room were extremely clean and everything was well maintained. As I'm vegan I was not expecting the breakfast to acomodate me but in the end there were some things I could eat. Would be great having more labels on food to people with allergy or dietary requirements to feel more comfortable eating there, as well as it would be good having more vegan options.
