Staff were great and location was 30 seconds to the old town with a ton of restaurant options. All the staff from the front desk to Carlos and Jose in the bar were extremely friendly and great at their jobs! Would definitely stay here again.

Esta mansión del siglo XVIII se encuentra en las colinas que rodean Funchal, en un amplio jardín botánico con 600 especies de plantas diferentes. To say that the quality of the service provided by the staff could not be faulted would be to do an injustice to the excellent service and friendliness of all the staff, from the reception, to the bar, to the dining and the housekeeping staff. They couldn’t have been more professional helpful or nicer.

El Orquidea da a una enorme terraza en la azotea con vistas a Funchal y al océano Atlántico. Se encuentra a menos de 200 metros del museo del vino y de los jardines tropicales Monte Palace. This is a great-value hotel, simple and a little old and worn (call is "classic"!), but comfortable; the location is perfect; the staff was very friendly and helpful (Ronnie was the best!); it was very cheap, the breakfast was decent with a beautiful view. Overall, we got more than we expected and more than we paid for. Thank you!

El Quintinha São João, de 5 estrellas, está ubicado en unos jardines paisajistas exuberantes y cuenta con spa y piscinas cubierta y exterior climatizada. We loved this hotel! The best part of the hotel was definitely the staff. We have never been to a place with such kind and hospitable staff!! The breakfast was tasty. It was great that you could choose any hour of the day to be the happy hour when the cocktails are half off. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Quinta Funchal Gardens - Adults Only se encuentra en Funchal, a 2,6 km de Playa Almirante Reis, y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre, parking privado, jardín y salón de uso común. Of of the many places I have stayed, this takes the top price. Beautifull garden surrounding the Quinta, staff providing a personal, but yes proffesional service. "No" seems to be a unknown word. The kitchen serves excellent delicate dishes with a twist. I am really thrilled, that this kind of oasis still excist. I can´t wait to come back

El Monte Carlo ocupa un edificio histórico del centro de Funchal y tiene una gran terraza elevada y azotea con piscina y vistas al océano Atlántico. Una hermosa estadia en un hotel tipo mansión antigua con una vista maravillosa. El staff, desde la propietaria que siempre fue muy simpática, hasta Harry, Marcia y Pedro de la recepción que fueron super atentos a cada duda. El team de housekeeping también está de nota 10 pues el cuarto siempre estaba super limpio. Pude experimentar la cocina y tuve una deliciosa cena, recomiendo mucho el pulpo a lagareiro. Y el broche de oro es el desayuno con una vista perfecta del amanecer en el mar frente a Funchal. Me sorprendió, supera la expectativa precio/calidad y seguramente volveré.

Hotel GORDON está muy bien situado en el barrio de São Pedro, Funchal, a 15 min a pie de Playa Almirante Reis, a 3 km de Praia do Gorgulho - Gavinas y a 8 min a pie de Puerto deportivo Marina de... La atención personalizada. Muy cálida la atención. Volvería de seguro.
