To say that the quality of the service provided by the staff could not be faulted would be to do an injustice to the excellent service and friendliness of all the staff, from the reception, to the bar, to the dining and the housekeeping staff. They couldn’t have been more professional helpful or nicer.

This is a great-value hotel, simple and a little old and worn (call is "classic"!), but comfortable; the location is perfect; the staff was very friendly and helpful (Ronnie was the best!); it was very cheap, the breakfast was decent with a beautiful view. Overall, we got more than we expected and more than we paid for. Thank you!

Det 5-stjerners Quintinha São João ligger i et frodig hageanlegg, og tilbyr et spa og oppvarmet innen- og utendørsbasseng. We loved this hotel! The best part of the hotel was definitely the staff. We have never been to a place with such kind and hospitable staff!! The breakfast was tasty. It was great that you could choose any hour of the day to be the happy hour when the cocktails are half off. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Located in Funchal, 2.6 km from Almirante Reis Beach, Quinta Funchal Gardens - Adults Only provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Of of the many places I have stayed, this takes the top price. Beautifull garden surrounding the Quinta, staff providing a personal, but yes proffesional service. "No" seems to be a unknown word. The kitchen serves excellent delicate dishes with a twist. I am really thrilled, that this kind of oasis still excist. I can´t wait to come back

Hotel Monte Carlo ligger i en historisk bygning i Funchal sentrum, og har en stor, hevet terrasse og takbasseng med utsikt over Atlanterhavet. Det er bare 800 meter fra marinaen i Funchal. Very friendly and welcoming stuff, they also kept my luggage until my flight back home, after I checked out. Building is beautiful, historical with a retro charm. Room was clean and spacious, with comfotable bed. I loved the traditional details in room decor and the hotel overall. Bathroom could be more modern but it’s usable. Hotel has great locations, walking distance from the city centre if you dont’t mind some uphill walking on your way back.

Conveniently located in the Sao Pedro district of Funchal, Hotel GORDON is set 1.3 km from Almirante Reis Beach, 3 km from Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and 700 metres from Marina do Funchal. Extremely clean facilities. Super secure and lovely staff. The breakfast in their garden was great. Full of flowers and cozy.

Featuring mountain views, Urban Paradise by Madeira Sun Travel is situated in the Sao Pedro district of Funchal, less than 1 km from Almirante Reis Beach and a 12-minute walk from Marina do Funchal. Veldig fin og moderne leilighet med sentral beliggenhet i Funchal. Vi kunne gå overalt vi skulle i byen. Veldig praktisk med egen parkeringsplass. Parkeringshuset er trangt men vi hadde ikke problem med å få parkert bilen som jeg ser noen andre har skrevet. Vi leide en Nissan Micra til referanse (liten/middels stor bil). Ellers hadde leiligheten alt vi trengte, og det var veldig fint å kunne benytte vaskemaskinen underveis. Kjøkkenet har det man trenger for å lage mat om det er ønskelig. Behagelig seng, men litt kaldt å kun sove med laken når airconditionen var på for min del. Det var dyner i skapet, og vi fikk levert dynetrekk - så det løste seg. Alt i alt anbefaler vi denne leiligheten.
