Ubicato a Funchal, a 500 metri dal porto turistico, il Castanheiro Boutique Hotel offre una piscina e una vasca idromassaggio all'aperto disponibili tutti l'anno, un centro benessere, un ristorante e... We loved everything about this hotel! From the arrival where we were greeted with champagne to the wonderful food and bars offered within the hotel to the OUTSTANDING spa staff, we could not have had a better trip. We visited during a 3 day storm so we had plenty of time to use all of the hotel amenities and could not recommend them more. The rooms were spacious, had balconies (for those rare, clear moments) and had modern, clean bathrooms with luxurious showers. While I did not eat at the restaurant for dinner, 6 of our other friends did and absolutely raved about the food. The quality and value, coupled with excellent staff made for an amazing trip. Only a 5-minute walk from so many things to do in Old town and a 10-minute cab ride to the more commercialized, shopping area of town. We would only stay at the Castanheiro hotel again if we return.

Adagiato sulle colline nei pressi di Funchal, il Quinta Jardins do Lago occupa un palazzo del 18° secolo immerso in un vasto giardino botanico con 600 diverse specie di piante. I have to say that we had the best hotel experience so far. The location is peaceful and perfect for relaxing and recharging. We were amazed by the beautiful gardens and pleasantly surprised to find a permanent hotel guest, Colombo – a tortoise living in the gardens. We miss this charming old fellow; he left a lasting impression on us 🥰 The staff took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary restrictions, making us feel very special throughout our stay. The room was spotless and comfortable, and we loved the heated pool area. The food was fantastic, especially the breakfast with its many delicious options. It’s hard to get back to normal life after that. A big shout out to all the hardworking staff! 🙌

L'Orquidea ospita una terrazza panoramica estremamente ampia, affacciata su Funchal e sull'Oceano Atlantico. This is a great-value hotel, simple and a little old and worn (call is "classic"!), but comfortable; the location is perfect; the staff was very friendly and helpful (Ronnie was the best!); it was very cheap, the breakfast was decent with a beautiful view. Overall, we got more than we expected and more than we paid for. Thank you!

La struttura nel suo complesso con il suo stile coloniale, le colazioni ricche e con tanta frutta fresca e lo staff!

Located in Funchal, 2.6 km from Almirante Reis Beach, Quinta Funchal Palace Gardens - Adults Only provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a garden and a terrace. Of of the many places I have stayed, this takes the top price. Beautifull garden surrounding the Quinta, staff providing a personal, but yes proffesional service. "No" seems to be a unknown word. The kitchen serves excellent delicate dishes with a twist. I am really thrilled, that this kind of oasis still excist. I can´t wait to come back
