Yuki san and Tadashi san are very accommodating, and super nice. Tadashi san even went to a nearby event at the same time as us and was sweet enough to translate for us when we didn't understand directions. The facilities are very nice and very good value for money. The hosts also have very thorough and in my opinion very good advice for local hikes/attractions and restaurants! And the view of the temple from the western style room is phenomenal.

Situated in Kyoto, 800 metres from Heian Shrine, Hotel Material features rooms with free WiFi access. I liked everything about the hotel. The staff representative was super helpful and nice, helped us to carry the luggage upstairs. The room was fully-equipped and clean. There is a rooftop where you can just chill out. We could leave our luggage for a couple of hours after the check out time, which we really appreciate! Absolutely the hotel to recommend.

Attractively situated in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Tassel Hotel Sanjo Shirakawa is located 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 1 km from Heian Shrine and 1.3 km from Gion Shijo Station.... Right next to Tozai subway line entrance, walking distance from many east Kyoto temples and attractions. Bathroom rain shower was powerful and wonderful. Wide range of free drinks in the evening.

The resort hotel in Kyoto and offering free WiFi throughout, The Westin Miyako features indoor pool, a fitness center and spa treatments. This is a brilliant property, expensive but worth it. The rooms were lovely, spacious and immaculate. The buffet breakfast and dinner amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
