The staff were so welcoming and extremely helpful with any request we had, from recommending and booking resturants for us to arranging taxi's. Would definetly stay again in the future and have already recommended it to my other friends.

THE HOTEL HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO TOKYU, A Pan Pacific Hotel se nachází v Kjótu a nabízí zahradu, terasu a restauraci. This hotel feels new and posh. The room has all of the luxury details like a beautiful shower next to a bathtub, complimentary pajamas, and a kind and helpful staff. They made recommendations for places our whole family did not have in our original plans and loved. It was easy and affordable to arrange luggage delivery to our next hotel in Tokyo, which they charged to our room. The extraordinary breakfast buffet offers both Japanese and Western breakfast items, beautifully presented and refreshed often by attentive staff. I got two plates, one with rice, fish and pickled veggies while other had eggs, tater tots, fruit and a croissant. Happy with both! I shared one room with my husband and two kids (ages 11 and 18) 2 extra "twin" beds were put in our Executive Hollywood Twin Room. There was plenty of room for all of us to use the space comfortable. For anyone worried about being closer to downtown Kyoto, this was a nice place to come home to. There is frequent bus service to the area that is very simple to use with and IC card. We would definitely stay here again.

The resort hotel in Kyoto and offering free WiFi throughout, The Westin Miyako features indoor pool, a fitness center and spa treatments. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The spa and buffet was amazing!

The hosts go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. They are extremely kind and helpful and have a lovely home. The hospitality goes above and beyond. Would highly recommend

Guest House Nishimura - Vacation STAY 13436 se nachází v Kjótu a poskytuje pokoje s klimatizací a sdílenou koupelnou. Yuki san and Tadashi san are very accommodating, and super nice. Tadashi san even went to a nearby event at the same time as us and was sweet enough to translate for us when we didn't understand directions. The facilities are very nice and very good value for money. The hosts also have very thorough and in my opinion very good advice for local hikes/attractions and restaurants! And the view of the temple from the western style room is phenomenal.

This was our favorite place we stayed on our trip. Material is a great little boutique hotel with lots of charm. By Japan Standards our room was actually fairly large and had a great industrial mixed with Japanese traditional feel to it. Despite facing a major road, road noise was minimal, the location was a short walk from the nearest subway station and was comparatively short walks from many of the top tourist locations in the city. We walk a lot on trips in general (approximately 10 miles a day on average) so of course this is all relative. Our room was a 3rd floor walk up so it probably wouldn't be ideal for those with mobility issues. We ate at Detail ramen, the restaurant that shares the ground floor with the hotel, twice on during our stay and were quite happy with the meals we had! Be sure to look at their hours if you want to make that a part of your stay and keep in mind that the restaurant is cash only and their ticket ordering machine only accepts the older bills (at least at the time of writing this). Overall the hotel staff were very friendly and patient with us when we needed to use google translate for the few things language barrier got in the way of. The premises was quiet and just generally really lovely. It was the only hotel we stayed in during our trip to Japan that we actually felt excited about spending time in. Because we found the room so pleasant we ended up changing around our itinerary a bit to get up early and go out to see and photograph sites before sunrise, come back to the hotel for a mid day rest and nap before going out in the afternoon to evening for more site seeing or shopping. We also spent a couple evenings enjoying some drinks we purchased at the Lawsons about a block away on the rooftop while watching the sun set, talking and reconnecting. For the right kind of traveler this place is an absolute gem in balance between affordability, comfort, and location.
