Situated conveniently in the centre of Kyoto, Hotel Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi offers buffet breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. Hotel Forza was probably my favourite places to stay in Japan! It was larger than most rooms we had! The toilet was separate to the bathroom and the bath was larger than most - great. The lifts in/out of the building were very quick and accessible. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and always helpful, and you could choose your own products as you pleased from front desk so I had bath salts in my bath every night - we felt at home here. 10/10 for value for money.

Well set in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, Saju Kyoto 茶住 京都 is located 600 metres from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, 1.6 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum and 1.9 km from Samurai... Our stay at Saju was so pleasant. The room was lovely, cozy, traditional, and everything was clean. We were warmly welcomed by the staff with a Japanese tea ceremony in our room, complete with matcha cookies, which were delicious! Yumiki made our stay truly memorable and was incredibly helpful when we encountered some trouble with our luggage. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay at Saju was pleasant and comfortable. We are extremely grateful and will definitely return here! Many thanks to the staff of Saju and to Yumiki!

Attractively set in Kyoto, THE GENERAL KYOTO Bukkouji Shinmachi features air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge and free WiFi. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a concierge service. The room was nice, clean and more spacious than we expected. Beverages and snacks were available in the evenings for free in the lounge, which we really appreciated. The location was good and not far from the train station.

In a prime location in the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, Hotel GOCO stay Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi is set 1.2 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, 1.3 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto and 1.4 km... The hotel was in a very central location with good connections to buses and the subway. Also very close to a busy shopping area. However, it was in a very quiet side street so we never heard any noise from the street. The rooms also had very good soundproofing. The owner was very hospitable, he gave us a lot of information on which attractions were worth visiting and the best way to get to them. The rooms were a good size, we had a double and the one with the balcony. They both had a washing machine and an area for drying clothes. Everything was vey well thought out and extreme clean.

Ideally situated in the centre of Kyoto, Kyoto Shijo Takakura Hotel Grandereverie features air-conditioned rooms, a terrace, free WiFi and a bar. Location was great, just a short walk away from main street and round the corner from Shijo Station. Bars and restauranrs nearby and Nishiki Market 5 mins away for lots of great food options. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the duvet felt like a cloud. Great bathroom/shower/tub too and loved the style of the room. Complimentary Evian water also a nice touch. Very friendly staff too. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

The room is spacious, the shower is excellent, the location is very close to Kyoto center, the Nespresso coffee machine provides the best coffee experience in Japan, and the bed is very comfortable. The service is also generous and efficient.
