Ideally set in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Shijo is set 1.2 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum, 1.4 km from Gion Shijo Station and 1.6 km from TKP Garden City... The location was excellent, just by the subway and a walking distance to the city center. The room was very well decorated and equipped. The continental breakfast was awesome. The staff were very polite and had a very good knowledge of English. We even used the laundry facilities which was very convenient. Would really recommend this hotel.

Honestly, this was the best check-in and the most friendly employees I've ever experienced in a hotel environment. The hosts were both so wonderful and accommodating. The room made it feel like an authentic Japanese experience and just added to the beauty of the trip and our time in Kyoto.
