Ideally situated in the centre of Kyoto, ALA HOTEL KYOTO features air-conditioned rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a restaurant. It is less than 10-min walking distance from Kyoto station and very easy to find. Our room was quite big considering normal Japanese hotel rooms. Public spa was great including outdoor one. Excellent in overall if you would like to look for a hotel near the station and relax after your day.

In a prime location in the centre of Kyoto, Kyoto Umekoji Kadensho is within 1.7 km of Kyoto Station and 1.8 km of TKP Garden City Kyoto. Amazing hotel in the Japanese traditional style, where you are supposed to walk bare foot all over the place. Lovely onsens, both private and public, are avaliable without reservation, you can wear traditional and cosy japanese-style bathrobes and try free of charge evening's soup and icecreams. The staff is always ready to help and polite. We felt a taste of Japan there, even if we were just to stay in the hotel and not to see the cultural heritage of Kyoto! Highly recommended place!
