The staff went above and beyond to make the stay as unique and comfortable as possible! The staff took our luggage up to our room, we were invited to a matcha tea ceremony in our room, and there is complimentary sake downstairs. I was nervous about how thin the futon is, but I honestly had the best nights of sleep while here! All staff were so kind and gave several recommendations of different places to go to.

In a prime location in the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, Hotel GOCO stay Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi is set 1.2 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, 1.3 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto and 1.4 km... I stayed in the double bed room. Compact but functional, clean, with a washing machine and detergent. The staff were so helpful and gave us extra blankets and a cutting knife to borrow when we needed it. I saw them helping another group search for nearby restaurants. There's a free water dispenser downstairs and they give you a glass pitcher to keep in your fridge. Free coffee and tea too. Location is very convenient but also tucked away in a side street so it wasn't noisy at all. There is a terrace on the 5th floor with tables and umbrellas. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in central Kyoto near Kyoto Kawaramachi station.
