I one word perfect!. The best Japanese room that we been in ( tatami and Japanese stay shower) the staff was so friendly and nice the room was amazing and comfortable and the location was great (next to a bus/train station)

Large and comfortable rooms at the top floor as we booked the compact room, with all the amenities you could wish for and many drink options in the mini bar that are stocked up daily. Location was really good. The best were the staff. Genuinely friendly and going above and beyond to help you, five star hotel staff. The bath was also a nice experience as there is a little window. To look down on traffic. As we were on the top floor, the common area terrace was right next to our room and we loved having a drink with city views.

The staff went out if their way daily to adjust Breakfast based on whatever we wanted to eat. We rotared between various fruits, pastries, eggs, croissants, different juices on a daily basis. The staff was extremely accommodating. On a separate note, the location was amazing! You were in the city, but on outskirts. So you had an amazing view from your unit - unobstructed scenic mountain and nature views - but could walk out the front door and we're minutes away from anything.

Tadashi-san and Yuki-san were without question the best hosts we've had in a while. Their care and help were outstanding and the house itself was extremely clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We felt at home for our nine nights, I will definitely be back if I have the chance!

Yuki san and Tadashi san are very accommodating, and super nice. Tadashi san even went to a nearby event at the same time as us and was sweet enough to translate for us when we didn't understand directions. The facilities are very nice and very good value for money. The hosts also have very thorough and in my opinion very good advice for local hikes/attractions and restaurants! And the view of the temple from the western style room is phenomenal.

Set in Kyoto, Kyoto Sanjo Ohashi offers 3-star accommodation with private balconies. Recently, the management changed at this hotel and the new management has been extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help us and make sure we had a pleasant stay. Some of the other reviews on the site are from before the recent change in management. The front desk is staffed every day beginning at eleven, through 8 of the evening, which makes things more convenient in case you need to leave a suitcase while you go out to sightsee. During the hours the desk is not open, there is a WhatsApp number the staff can be reached at, and they were quick to respond even before the hours the desk is staffed. I stayed at this hotel with my mom. It is in good condition and clean, and our room was very spacious. This hotel would be especially good for families or possibly friends traveling together because there are two large beds in the rooms, a kitchen area (with a decent sized refrigerator, microwave, range, and hot water pot), a washer, and a table to have meals at. I also think it would be especially suited for longer stays and people with special dietary needs (vegetarians or families with small children), since making a light breakfast or simple pasta meal here would be very easy. Honestly, this feels like a more like a mini apartment than a hotel room to me. The property is two blocks from a supermarket and within walking distance of Teramachi, with its multitude of restaurants and shops. In addition, it is right in front of a bus that goes to Kyoto Station and a subway line. It is also within walking distance to Gion. I think this is one of the best locations to stay for several days in Kyoto since some other tourist areas here are quite out of the way and don't have as many options for food, shopping, or transportation as this location does. Finally, I felt that the price of the hotel was very reasonable given everything it has to offer. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Kyoto.

We love the spaciousness of the room. The garden is beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. the hotspiring in the room is definitely a bonus.
