The ryokan is 900 metres from Kanazawa Castle in Kanazawa, overlooking a city of Kanazawa. Food was incredible (freshest most tastiest ingredients prepared with so much love and care), room was very comfortable and clean, staff was extremely caring.

It was my first stay at a ryokan and an absolutely great experience. Great location, an awesome room with a comfy bed, a mini onsen in the basement. But the best was the host, Mr. Bungo, he was extremely friendly, helpful and patient. His English proficiency is exceptional and he really knows his city and surrounding area well. Especially the village of Shirakawa ;-)

Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and low furniture. Some offer beds, while other rooms come with traditional futon bedding. All rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Yukata robes are provided. Amazing experience and a must do in Kanazawa. The welcome is super friendly and they arrange you stuff in the room. The room itself is very spacious and the beds are made when you have dinner. Make sure to be early so you can also enjoy the hot springs but also walk around. Dinner was a feast and definitely full , same for the breakfast. You can wear the yukata at dinner and breakfast.

A Japanese breakfast is available. Very friendly couple, excellent place in one of rhe historic quarters

Guests at Matsusaki Ryokan sleep in Japanese futon beds on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. A fridge, slippers and hairdryer are provided. All rooms are air-conditioned and include an en suite bath with amenities. Food was fantastic and filling, no need for lunch as breakfast will last you till dinner which is even more filling. Great place to relax, recharge, get a inroom massage is recommended, onsen experience, we had our own inroom onsen as well, looking out to the private garden. Great service, our host Natalie was multilingual so made the experience even easier for us.
