Such a wonderful experience unlike any other. We were the only foreign tourist at the time and felt welcomed with open arms. The facility is beautiful and serene and we felt like we were being doted on by a bunch of aunties. Loved every moment.

The staff at Matsusaki was so friendly and welcoming. The hospitality was exceptional. Dinner and breakfast were served in our room with an explanation of the dishes. The in room onsen was so relaxing as were the public onsens and massage chairs. We left the ryokan to walk to the nearby bookstore and grocery store which was close by and a fun experience. Parking was very easy. I highly recommend this ryokan for all travelers and would love to return.

Food was fantastic and filling, no need for lunch as breakfast will last you till dinner which is even more filling. Great place to relax, recharge, get a inroom massage is recommended, onsen experience, we had our own inroom onsen as well, looking out to the private garden. Great service, our host Natalie was multilingual so made the experience even easier for us.

The room was immaculate: clean and spacious, with its own private hot spring bath. The beds were very comfortable, and the communal onsen was very good. The kaiseki dinner we had in our room was excellent and the service impeccable.

Very accomodating staffs and services from station pickup to staffs waving their goodbye on our way out. Our host though not fluent in English was very hospitable and allowed us to use translator for easy communication. We really enjoyed the Kaiseki cuisine (hands down to the chef) and the private onsen in our room, very very relaxing! Would recommend to buy their Yuzu juice from the shop, it was served in our dinner and we really liked it.

Absolutely gorgeous location with a beautiful view of the garden as you walk on the pathway to the ryokan. The staff were all super nice and made sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Our room was spacious and had many areas to rest in... Such as the outdoor balcony and private open air bath. Our dinner and breakfast were also very excellent! We were served a lot of food and they were each presented like pieces of art. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience. We'll definitely come back next time!
