The place is beautifully designed: the beds are a delight to sleep in, the bath is huge and very relaxing, and the Japanese breakfast is a gourmet experience. The staff are very warm and hospitable. This place is one reason I’d return to Kanazawa.

Great property - our room was very spacious and comfortable with traditional Japanese elements that made it special. Sasa and Annie our hosts were fantastic and really looked after us - it was raining when we arrived and they picked us up from the station and took us to a wonderful local restaurant where we had a fabulous night. Mikawa is about 20 km out of Kanazawa but train station is close and it was lovely to be out of the busy tourist areas. Thank you Sasa and Annie for a wonderful stay.

Food and drinks were delicious and the private onsen was very relaxing. Definitely one of the highlights of my Japan trip. Please stay here if you're planning on visiting Kanazawa!

The room was spacious (most over 10 mats in size), had comfortable bedding, and extremely quiet. The location is accessible all around Kanazawa city and attractions by foot, bicycle or bus. A plus is the wonderful bath in the basement. Thank you, again.

Boasting a 200-year history, Motoyu Ishiya features classic architecture, an original Noh stage and a garden. Extremely relaxing. The staff could not be any kinder or more helpful. A highlight of our trip.

Minshuku Ginmatsu er aðeins 100 metrum frá testofum Higashi-Chayamachi-hverfisins. It was a nice room with some nice details, made you feel very much at ease. Everything was very clean and it's around the corner from the old geisha district which is really cute. They also have parking

The food was excellent, the service provided was amazing. Natalie who helped us carry our bags, set up the room and prepare our food gave us the best and most welcoming experienced throughout my whole trip in Japan. The owners were also able to cater to food allergies, slightly later check in time and provided us with extra information for our next part of our trip. Everything about the stay was great with no complains at all, it was really worth the value and I will definitely come back here if I pass by the area during my next trip to Japan.
