The room was excellent and it was renovated for modern comforts but they kept the traditional vibe. Lots of great tourist spots close by and within walking distance. Breakfast was good. Would totally recommend to anyone who would like to experience a night in an old Japanese house.

The BB is on the outskirts of Kanazawa, not much to do in the neighborhood but this BB experience is worth staying at. They bring all guests together in the bar they started In the town and will take you to the restaurant and show you around. Every evening, we met new people and they made sure we were never bored.There are free bikes to use and in the summer you can go fishing with them. Probably the best BB we have stayed at. Also free laundry and breakfast is a plus

An Asian breakfast is available every morning at the ryokan. There is a coffee shop on-site. We arrived late on the day we checked in and they were super accommodating. I’ve travelled a lot around the world and I’ve never stayed in a place so beautiful. The room was spectacular: it was very large with divisions separating each room, super well maintained, very warm and comfortable as we were staying in the winter, huge private garden, and the private onsen was a highlight. The staff were lovely and kind. The Japanese breakfasts were delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone who comes to Kanazawa!

The ryokan is 900 metres from Kanazawa Castle in Kanazawa, overlooking a city of Kanazawa. Food was incredible (freshest most tastiest ingredients prepared with so much love and care), room was very comfortable and clean, staff was extremely caring.

Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and low furniture. Some offer beds, while other rooms come with traditional futon bedding. All rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Yukata robes are provided. Amazing experience and a must do in Kanazawa. The welcome is super friendly and they arrange you stuff in the room. The room itself is very spacious and the beds are made when you have dinner. Make sure to be early so you can also enjoy the hot springs but also walk around. Dinner was a feast and definitely full , same for the breakfast. You can wear the yukata at dinner and breakfast.

Just 100 metres from the tea houses of the Higashi-Chayamachi district, Minshuku Ginmatsu features free Wi-Fi throughout and offers Japanese-style rooms with air conditioning, an LCD TV and shared bathrooms. A Japanese breakfast is available. The host was so sweet and kind! The room was very nice, with its own AC to cool down, and the Japanese layout really was lovely. The breakfast and tea were so good, I wish I could've stayed for longer than just one night! The location is great too. It's just next to the geisha district, and close on foot to the samurai district and the castle. All in all, extremely good value for money. I'd visit again anytime!
