It was the most perfect and ideal bed and breakfast experience I’ve had so far.

It’s a really small “bed and breakfast” type hotel with only two rooms. Very clean and staff which goes above and beyond to make you happy. The room is really old-style but with modern equipment. I would go there again!

Located a 5-minute drive from JR Kanazawa Station, Ryokan Yamamuro offers Japanese-style guestrooms with free WiFi. Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle Park can both be reached with a 5-minute walk. I totally enjoyed my stay at Ryokan Yamamuro! This is a family-run ryokan and the hosts, Bungo and his mother, are very kind and accomodating. We only stayed in Kanazawa for a day and Bungo was totally helpful on recommending where to visit and eat during our short trip (he gave very good recommendations!). He even helped us book a bus for our trip to Shirakawa-go and Takayama. And what’s great about the property doesn’t stop there. The ryokan itself is a very nice place to stay! It is located in the heart of Kanazawa, most tourist spots are located within 5-15 minutes walking distance. The place (lobby, room, dining room, etc.) is very clean, they even cleaned our luggage wheels before sending it to our room, you totally can see the effort they make to maintain the ryokan’s cleanliness. The room is very nice with direct access to indoor garden. This is by far the best hotel stay I had. Thank you for hosting us.

Boasting a 200-year history, Motoyu Ishiya features classic architecture, an original Noh stage and a garden. Amazing experience and a must do in Kanazawa. The welcome is super friendly and they arrange you stuff in the room. The room itself is very spacious and the beds are made when you have dinner. Make sure to be early so you can also enjoy the hot springs but also walk around. Dinner was a feast and definitely full , same for the breakfast. You can wear the yukata at dinner and breakfast.

Just 100 metres from the tea houses of the Higashi-Chayamachi district, Minshuku Ginmatsu features free Wi-Fi throughout and offers Japanese-style rooms with air conditioning, an LCD TV and shared... Great location, close to main attractions, the hosts were very nice and helpful, the room was spacious and the futons were rally comfortable.

Boasting indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and a waterside Japanese garden, Matsusaki is a 20-minute drive from JR Matsuto Train Station. A gorgeous property with beautiful gardens. Very peaceful and calm. Meals (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. Kaiseki dinner was superb. Highly recommended, especially with snow crab and Noto beef. Very spacious and comfortable family room with indoor and outdoor onsen. Love the toiletries, smell great! Loved the massage chair in room, daily afternoon sweet and tea, tea ceremony in the tea room, very attentive and gracious English speaking staff. Free shuttle bus to nearby attractions. Kutani Museum and shops were great. Will come back again.

Offering views of the Sai River, Yuyaruru Saisai’s spacious Japanese-style rooms have an LCD TV and a private bath. Beautiful Japanese cultural experience. We booked in room massages in the evening before visiting the public bath. Breakfast was amazing. Our favourite accommodation so far. Worth every penny.
