What an experience! So glad we went. Great service, amazing osen, incredible meals, beautiful grounds. Next time we'll do 2 nights instead of just one.
Also–very close to a special Buddhist temple, also as old as Hoshi (1,300 years) dedicated to Guan Yin/Kanon, called Natadera Temple.
Overall very special.

Sasa the owner and Annie the manager went out of their way literally and figuratively to ensure we had a wonderful experience in Mikawa despite the unseasonable cold and wet weather. They drove us to Sasa's friend's restaurant and joined us for a FABULOUS 7 course seafood dinner that Sasa specially ordered. When Sasa learned my wife is allergic to wheat and soy sauce, he left the restaurant and went and bought a gluten-free sauce and brought it back to restaurant to be used for dishes he ordered for my wife!
We experienced a couple of mishaps a few days before arriving that diminished our spirits. With many thanks to Annie and Sasa, our spirits were lifted by the best meal and evening spent of our 21 day trip. We will rave about Sasa, Annie and B&B Mikawa for years to come.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant. The onsen/hot baths are very nice. The lobby area is nice and modern too. Location is pretty good if you need to fly out of Komatsu airport.
The onsen was wonderful, the dinner exceptional but the room was not tidy enough
We were missing some towels, the bathroom was too small and the floor too cold -
It's near the station within 10 mins walk
The vintage building has been maintained very well
Tatami were comfortable
There were hot water so I could drink tea
I was amazed by this hotel! It was not just staying at the next hotel. It was the whole experience starting from checking in, with baths, futons, tea and food! I loved it!
it is full of tradition which is valued, there are a lot of details to admire, the Onsen was great and the food exceptional, the staff were very friendly and I felt welcome and was able to fully arrive in this wonderful country after a long trip. I want to go again.
Fantastic night sleep on the futon in a tatami mat room. The underlay provided excellent comfort. Quiet, spacious and clean. Very short walk to the station.
