I loved staying at this guesthouse. The house is gorgeous, has rooms with tatami floors, and the beds are very comfortable. It has a very beautiful view of the mountains from the backyard, and it is conveniently located with restaurants around. The host is very kind and responsive. I definitely recommend staying here. It is also close to the train station.

Guesthouse Gifu SUAI มีทำเลที่ตั้งอยู่ในกิฟุ ห่างจากปราสาทนาโกย่า 29 กม.มีบริการที่พักพร้อมสวน ที่จอดรถส่วนตัวฟรี เลานจ์ส่วนกลาง และลานระเบียง เกสต์เฮาส์พร้อมอินเทอร์เน็ตไร้สาย (WiFi)... Lovely stay. Impeccably clean!! Very friendly and helpful hosts. Super cheap bike rental. Great breakfast deal with the cafe. We liked walking around that area, really friendly locals. We had a really great stay! Fyi if you want to watch the fishing with the birds, you can cycle to it quite easily. When facing up river, if you go to the right hand side and walk down the pebble beach to the shore, you get an amazing view!!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Tajimi Guest House is set in the middle of nature, 3 km from Tajimi Station. So kind and helpful couple who runs this unique architectural place - higly recommended for cultural travellers!

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. We had an exceptional stay at Soy guesthouse! The house is beautiful, and our Japanse style room was large and comfortable. The food was very tasty (we tried both the western and Japanese breakfast), and we enjoyed having the meals while looking at the Japanese garden. Above all Tai-san and his mother are truly exceptional and kind hosts! They helped us a lot with transport, making reservations, etc. They even gifted us flowers and sparkling wine because we got engaged in the guesthouse... Needless to say we will cherish our 3 days at Soy in Takayama for the rest of our lives :)

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. High end elegant place- most recommended

Amazing location between the bus station/train station and the old town, close to lots of restaurant options. Incredibly clean (the shower absolutely sparkled!) and spacious for two people. Sleeping in the loft was quite warm in July, even with the AC on, but that is no fault of the property, just something to note. We really appreciated having a washer/dryer! Detergent was already preloaded in the machine, so we didn’t need our own.
