Featuring mountain views and a garden, 馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou offers accommodation attractively situated in Nakatsugawa, within a short distance of Toson Memorial Museum, Magome Wakihonjin... It was a unique experience staying in a former school (we stayed in the principals office:)

Guesthouse SHIGI is located in Nakatsugawa, 46 km from Gero Station, 7.7 km from Toson Memorial Museum, as well as 7.7 km from Magome Wakihonjin Museum. What a pleasure to stay at Guesthouse SHIGI. I had the chance to have this beautiful, tastefully decorated old house all by myself on the night I stayed there. I loved having my breakfast in the big sunny kitchen with stunning views on the mountains and traditional garden while listening to cool vinyls on the record player. In addition to having an eye for (vintage) detail, the owners are also super friendly and make good recommendations. Atsushi san offered to drive me to Magome as I was planning to hike the Nakasendo trail and I also had a really great night following his advice to go for a beer at the nearby Cafe & Second Hand Shop 42! Awesome (ᵔ◡ᵔ)

A good location for a stress-free stay in Hashima, ゲストハウス岐阜羽島心音 Guest House Gifuhashima COCONE is a guest house surrounded by views of the city. All great, friendly staff and a nice clean place. Great value.

In the Magome district of Nakatsugawa, close to Magome Wakihonjin Museum, Guest House Motomiya has a garden and a washing machine. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional !!! Best meal I’ve had on trip ! So artfully presented and delicious. Room was spacious and bed exceptionally. comfortable !!

Offering mountain views, Guesthouse Nedoko is an accommodation situated in Nakatsugawa, 200 metres from Magome Observatory and 100 metres from Magome Wakihonjin Museum. I stayed in the futon room with mountain views. Waking up early and watching the sun rise over Mount Ena was definitely a highlight of my trip.

Offering a garden and city view, Guesthouse Gifu SUAI is situated in Gifu, 29 km from Nagoya Castle and 30 km from Nagoya Station. The little dog and the place was very clean.

The owner, Tack, was very friendly and helpful. The hostel is within easy walking distance of the train and bus station as well as the Old Town.

Featuring free bikes, garden and views of mountain, Tajimi Guest House is located in Tajimi, 33 km from Oasis 21. A hot spring bath is available for guests. Sublime location and wonderful people. Very real Japanese experience.

Located in Takayama, 1.3 km from Takayama Station and less than 1 km from the centre, Takayama Ninja House provides air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a shared lounge. I love the host, he is very nice ! He drove us to the station as we had many luggages. His instructions also very clear and i love the ryokan ninja style of the house!

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. First time staying at the Japanese guest house, and this perfect one set my standard sooo high! Truly felt welcomed when we arrived. The house is cozy and stylish with a beautiful garden view. My family and I got our own private zone which is so peacful and got every thing we want in there. There is also a movie projector in the bedroom with plenty of DVDs to enjoy. The bed is just the way I like, quite firm and very comfortable. I have a good night’s sleep after long day of travel. Tai san and his family are very kind and helpful. The Japanese breakfast and complimentary Hojicha are truly impressive. This place gave us a wonderful experince of staying in Takayama. One of my favorite stays so far. Highly recommended!
