One of the best hostels I’ve ever been to! The place is massive and the wooden structure so beautiful! Everything feels new! The amenities are impeccable. I had heaps of space in the capsule in the dorms. It was so comfortable. The staff is so friendly! I wish I could stay longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay 😊 Hope to visit again!

There is also a laundromat downstairs and 2 convenience stores nearby making the location ideal in terms of efficiency. The host were also extremely hospitable and kind.

Terletak di lokasi yang menarik di daerah Magome bagi Nakatsugawa, Guesthouse Nedoko terletak 2-minit berjalan kaki dari Magome Observatory, 100m dari Magome Wakihonjin Museum dan 1-minit berjalan... The location is perfect! Magome is very special and it felt very unique sleeping here and being there at night with no tourists. The design of the hotel is also very nice. Everything worked perfectly and the staff was very kind and helped us with dinner reservations and with local recommendations. The Nakansendo trail to Tsumago was a highlight of our trip and I totally recommend spending a night/s here to do it :)

The husband and wife of the property live next door and were very kind and attentive to our needs. We were running late to see the Ukai show so that helped us with a speedy check in process. We have been on a motorcycle road trip and I can’t say how well we slept at this property. And they have a lovely dog that entertained us too. We will definitely be staying here again on our future road trips. I highly recommend staying here. Rooms are clean, showers are great, and great company. They have motorcycle parking too!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Tajimi Guest House is set in the middle of nature, 3 km from Tajimi Station. So kind and helpful couple who runs this unique architectural place - higly recommended for cultural travellers!

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. Everything about this place was good. Tai came to pick up our luggage at Takayama station, so we could continue to Shirakawa-go. He even helped us get the bus tickets. He then came to pick us up, when we had to go to the hotel, so even though the hotel is a little outside of the city, it is absolutely no problem. Very good service and Tai is really kind. When we arrived, his mother welcomed us and we had a cup of tea in the lounge. It really felt like we were guests in their home. We also chose ourselves, when to have breakfast and when we wanted to go back to the station the morning after. The breakfast next to the small pond with koi fish was really nice. The hotel and the room itself were really beautiful and there is really nothing to complain about. We would definitely recommend this hotel because Tai and his family are very hospitable.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The food and service were both amazing! Thank you so much. We had an amazing stay. One of the very few places we will come back to after 33 days in Japan

A 6-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station, 力車イン Rickshaw inn offers non-smoking Japanese rooms and Western rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom. A free-use kitchen is on site. Anything, room were superb!! Location are great, hospitality amazing! Keep going!
