Featuring mountain views and a garden, 馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou offers accommodation attractively situated in Nakatsugawa, within a short distance of Toson Memorial Museum, Magome Wakihonjin... One of the best hostels I’ve ever been to! The place is massive and the wooden structure so beautiful! Everything feels new! The amenities are impeccable. I had heaps of space in the capsule in the dorms. It was so comfortable. The staff is so friendly! I wish I could stay longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay 😊 Hope to visit again!

Situata a Hashima, in un edificio risalente al 2019, la Guest House Gifuhashima COCONE offre un giardino e camere con WiFi gratuito. La struttura vanta camere familiari e una terrazza. Very clean property with extremely well maintained amenities. There is also a laundromat downstairs and 2 convenience stores nearby making the location ideal in terms of efficiency. The host were also extremely hospitable and kind.

The location is perfect! Magome is very special and it felt very unique sleeping here and being there at night with no tourists. The design of the hotel is also very nice. Everything worked perfectly and the staff was very kind and helped us with dinner reservations and with local recommendations. The Nakansendo trail to Tsumago was a highlight of our trip and I totally recommend spending a night/s here to do it :)

Situata a Gifu, a 29 km dal Castello di Nagoya, la Guesthouse Gifu SUAI offre sistemazioni con salotto in comune, un parcheggio privato gratuito, un giardino e una terrazza. The husband and wife of the property live next door and were very kind and attentive to our needs. We were running late to see the Ukai show so that helped us with a speedy check in process. We have been on a motorcycle road trip and I can’t say how well we slept at this property. And they have a lovely dog that entertained us too. We will definitely be staying here again on our future road trips. I highly recommend staying here. Rooms are clean, showers are great, and great company. They have motorcycle parking too!

Immersa nella natura, a 3 km dalla stazione di Tajimi, la Tajimi Guest House offre una terrazza solarium e la vista sul giardino. So kind and helpful couple who runs this unique architectural place - higly recommended for cultural travellers!

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. La proprietà è tenuta benissimo, recentemente ristrutturata e con ottimo isolamento termico. Il giardino esterno è molto bello, sia con il sole che con la neve, e stare davanti alla stufa a suonare la chitarra è decisamente rilassante! La vera chicca di questo posto è l'ospitalità: Tai-san, che gestisce il posto, è assolutamente attento a qualsiasi bisogno: ci ha offerto della frutta, del tè, ci ha dato consigli su dove mangiare (ottimo sushi!) e si è preoccupato di portarci avanti e indietro dalla città. La colazione, preparata dalla madre di Tai, è eccezionale, sia in versione giapponese che continentale. Assolutamente un'esperienza consigliatissima a Takayama (Luca & Simone)

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The food and service were both amazing! Thank you so much. We had an amazing stay. One of the very few places we will come back to after 33 days in Japan

Staff is friendly and good in communication. Best place for international solo travelers to stay.

A 6-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station, 力車イン Rickshaw inn offers non-smoking Japanese rooms and Western rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom. A free-use kitchen is on site. Anything, room were superb!! Location are great, hospitality amazing! Keep going!
