This ryokan and the hospitality is something special! It was beyond amazing, and the best experience we had during our 21-day trip in Japan. We felt right at home from the beginning, even though Maki told us she was worried we would not be comfortable seeing its a traditional Japanese house. On the contrary; everything is well thought of and very stylish. You get to experience a real Japanese inn in a relaxed manner. We didn’t have any experience with traditional ryokans, and Maki kindly thought us the ways of putting on a yukata, enjoying a kaiseki meal and using an onsen. She and her mom are beyond kind and caring, and provide you with everything you need (i.e. they send us on our hike with drinks and a bear-bell). The food is truly amazing (and there is a lot!!!) and Maki takes time to explain the origin of the products/dishes and a lot of the food is seasonal and resourced locally. The room was beautiful, with a spectacular view and nice comfy places to sit. The futon beds were very comfortable and on top of that everything was very tidy and clean. We are so thankful we got this opportunity and feel blessed we met them and cute Fukumaki and Kenta and will keep the memories we made here forever in our hearts. WE WILL BE BACK!

Residence Yasushi ligger i Nozawaonsen, 33 km från Jigokudanis appark och 42 km från Museum of Bath Architecture. Privat parkering kan ordnas mot en extra kostnad. Everything was really nice, clean, new and the staff was very friendly.

Located in the heart of Nozawa Onsen, Tanuki offers guests a traditional accommodation with Japanese-style rooms that feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Breakfast was delicious too. Very close to restaurant. U could say it’s in the center of the town.

Ryokan Warabino ligger i Takayama, 12 km från Museum of Bath Architecture, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en restaurang. We were so overwhelmed by the wonderful classic Japanese breakfast and dinners.A dream fulfilled! The staff so kind and generous with their help at the hotel and the use of the onsens, the room, and the surrounding area. We were picked up by a wonderful man on their staff at the train station and we even received help to go to the snow Monkey National Park!

Berg Marukaneya ligger i Nozawa Onsen, 2 km från sjön Hokuryuko. Ryokan ligger 3 minuters promenad från närmaste skidanläggning och säljer liftkort. Du kan njuta av måltider i restaurangen. We booked this accommodation during our ski trip in December, the ski bus station is situated nearby, the accommodation has a special deposit room for the equipment, and across the street, there is a ski rental shop. Everything is situated nearby. I recommend getting dinner in this place, portions are huge, various foods, and most importantly very tasty.
