Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Mitsubikiya features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 800 metres from Matsumoto Station. Had to check in early which wasn't a problem. The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 9.1 km of Otsumago and 9.3 km of Kotoku-ji Temple. Even though the location is distant, it provides peacefulness. Breakfast and dinner were both thoughtfully prepared. Additionally, it is delectable. The quantity is enormous; it is nearly impossible to consume it in its entirety. The thermal spring is outstanding. It is very relaxing to soak. The owner is exceedingly hospitable. I was generally quite impressed.

Featuring mountain views, Ryokan Warabino offers accommodation with balcony, around 12 km from Suzaka City Zoo. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Beautiful and peaceful traditional Japanese style ryokan. The ryokan is surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature giving such a wonderful relaxing feeling and view. The room was so comfortable and spacious, we were so pleased. We loved how the staff took care of us, even prepared special gifts for our honeymoon : fresh local grapes and delicious Nagano apples. We particularly loved to dress in yukata, enjoyed the wonderful food and relaxed in the several thermal baths, even some private onsens ! The staff organized a complimentary shuttle to take us from and to the train station so it was an excellent stay and so convenient you reach.

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. The staff is super helpful to accommodate our late arrival.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths, a heated indoor pool and beautiful Japanese gardens, Senjukaku offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation that has a historic charm. I loved everything about this place. The location (walking distance to snow monkey park and to shibu onsen), the food, the rooms, the onsen was wonderful. It's a bit dated, but super well maintained. I actually liked the old school charm and luxury.

L'Hotel Fuki no Mori es troba envoltat de jardins i zones pintoresques, per on podreu passejar, i ofereix serveis de trasllat gratuïts a l'estació de tren JR de Nagiso, que és a 20 minuts. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful with a mix of interesting and tasty food. It looked beautiful too. The onsen was amazing with wonderful facilities. We particularly enjoyed the outside onsen in the early morning. We paid for an evening meal( there was nowhere else to go anyway) and it was wonderful. Such interesting and beautifully presented food. Our waiter explained what everything was.

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Best onsen I've ever been to. Beautiful venue. Delicious food

Situated just a 5-minute walk from historic Togakushi Shrine, Oshi Ryokan is traditional lodging accommodation in the peaceful mountain area, which used to cater for pilgrims. Estada perfecta en un hotel tradicional envoltat de natura. El personal super amable i atent, els àpats abundants i super complets, es fan en una sala privada. Té un bany amb una banyera d'aigua calenta. Els llits incòmodes però és la gràcia d'aquest tipus de llocs!!

Only a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park, Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offers simple Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. The house is beautiful with lovely flowers arrangements. The room had a nice view on the river and the onsen are very hot and relaxing. Everybody was very nice welcoming and the breakfast delicious !
