The building is beautiful and the people that work there makes us feel really welcome. They were so warm, so helpful and gave us great recommendations too. Absolutely adorable! The location is perfect, it looks like a movie and you can walk everywhere. We also took advantage of the place and its very convenient if you want to go to Kamikochi because there is a bus there.

Yadoya Shiroganeya er staðsett í Nagano, í innan við 20 km fjarlægð frá Zenkoji-hofinu og 22 km frá Nagano-lestarstöðinni. We loved everything about our stay at Yadoya Shiroganeya. Maki is an excellent host and her mother is an amazing cook! The local food of Nagano was delicious and hand picked by Maki herself. We had fun making friends with the resident pets Fukumaru and Kenta. We were even lucky enough to see snow during our stay, but we were cozy and warm inside at all times. There are so many lovely touches to this property that made it one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We hope to visit again!

From the moment I stepped into Residence Yasushi, I was captivated. The cozy atmosphere and thoughtfully warm decorations, extending from the lobby to the dining area, immediately made me feel at home. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding. The private onsen was a wonderful bonus, adding a touch of luxury to the stay. The breakfast was delightful, and I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of allowing guests to use the dining area for takeaway dinners. What truly set this experience apart, however, were the people. A heartfelt thank-you to Keisuke and Aisha for their exceptional hospitality. They made my stay so memorable and special that I found myself wishing I could extend my visit. Residence Yasushi is truly a gem!

Takimi Onsen Inn tekur aðeins við 1 hópi á dag og býður upp á hverabað og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Gististaðurinn er í innan við 40 km fjarlægð frá Ōi og 40 km frá Enakyo Wonderland. The property is right in the nature, next to a river/waterfall. Beautiful and serene, the outdoor onsen is overlooking to river and autumn color leaves. The best view one can have. The owner picked us up in the station and sent us back to our hiking starting point the next day. He prepared sumptuous dinner and breakfast for us. We feel like visiting an old friend.

Ryokan Warabino er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistirými með svölum, í um 12 km fjarlægð frá dýragarðinum í Suzaka. Ryokan Warabino is on an idyllic Japanese valley, overlooking Nagano city. A bit far from everywhere, you definitely need a car to get there! Place is super clean, and rooms are so so nice, comfortable individual mattresses on a tatami floor. Three different onsens to choose from, two of them are outdoors, so relaxing, and you can have them booked privately, never had a problem to get to use them all. On top of that food....oh my...please add it to your booking because you will try to get what traditional japanese food is, so delicious. Dinner was abundant, with 9 courses, make sure your belly is empty before going! Breakfast was as well super traditional, with plenty of different small dishes to try. Staff was all the time smiling, and super accommodating. I would come back thousand times if I could! Thank you so much Ryokan Warabino for such an amazing experience!

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Amazing staff who were really helpful by providing information and transportation when needed. I was in the shared room / dorm which was quite spacious for three people. They provided clear indications regarding the onsen system. Breakfast options were nice. I recommend it.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths, a heated indoor pool and beautiful Japanese gardens, Senjukaku offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation that has a historic charm. The most beautiful stay - the room was stunning, the hotel grounds are gorgeous (especially in autumn!) and they catered to our dietary requirements with a delicious vegetarian breakfast. The private onsen was such a treat too. The hotel is just a short walk to the gorgeous snow monkeys too which was so much fun. The staff are truly so welcoming. Make sure you buy a delicious, big apple from the sweet man selling fruit in the lobby some mornings!!!!!

Hótel Fuki no Mori er í 20 mínútna fjarlægð með ókeypis skutlu hótelsins frá JR Nagiso-lestarstöðinni. Gestir geta farið í gönguferðir í garðinum eða á fallegu svæðin í kringum hótelið. A beautiful luxury hotel set in forest outside Tsumago, with hotel shuttle bus access. Everything was perfect- from the warm welcome, being conducted to our room, shown the onsen and dining room, where breakfast and dinner were exceptional (in Keisei style and well worth the additional charge). It was a most relaxing stay after our Magome to Tsumago walk- 6 hours in drenching rain- but still very beautiful to be again on this marvellous walk.
