Our room was superb, one bedroom, sitting room transformed onto second bedroom for the evening, another small sitting area with tea/coffee making facilities. both public and private onset, laundry room and great breakfast with choice of Japanese or western dishes.

The Japanese-style rooms at Historical Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen are air-conditioned and come with traditional tatami-mat flooring. Most rooms enjoy beautiful views of the Matsukawa River. Everything. The location,the room, the onsen, the common area. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Situated 1.6 km from Takayama Station, Iroriyado Hidaya is a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in Takayama, boasting a garden, a shared lounge and private parking. It is located 2 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village and features luggage storage space. The ryokan has parking on-site, a hot spring bath and full-day security. The staff of Iroriyado Hidaya was exceptionally friendly and helpful, also with regard to our kids; their genuine kindness and hospitality is a memory we will treasure. Using the traditional clothing and onsen was also a one of a kind experience. With our rental car the ryokan was a good exploration base for the surrounding area. And there is a really good authentic restaurant around the corner. If we got a chance in the future we would definitely come again!

Hakone Checkpoint is 22 km from the ryokan, while Hakone Shrine is 25 km away. Breathtaking view, soothing hot water that is all mine-just-mine! The room was spacious and extremely comfortable, they have thought of everything really. Equipped with both a kettle and a coffee machine, multiple hair drying-styling equipment and amenities. The teppanyaki dinner was delicious and included gourmet choices of ingredients and drinks. Staff were extremely attentive and polite. A stay to remember for life.
