Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. This place gave me a family feelings. It’s not like a normal hotel where they treat you as a guest. When I came back to the hotel, I saw grandma and grandpa watching TV, like they’re waiting for family members to come back home. All services they gave me made me feel like I was their family, especially the Thai staff. Since We’re both from Thailand so she helped me speaking with Japanese staff when I need assistance.

Warm welcome, exceptional service and thoroughly looked after throughout our stay. A perfect first trip to a Ryokan for the younger members of our party.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. This was an exceptional stay. While the onsen doesn't offer a direct view of mount Fuji, we could clearly see it on our drive over thanks to clear skies. When we entered the premises, the staff was attentive immediately. From taking our luggage to making sure we were set up in our room. The room was SPACIOUS, with a lounge area and bedroom with screens to close off sections. The highlight was having our own outdoor bath to enjoy during cold winter nights. Perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of our stay were the meals. We were blown away by our dinner. It was the best thing we ate during out entire trip in Japan (we were in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto prior). We enjoyed a sumptuous parade of dishes that really showed off the local ingredients. We didn't think it could get better, but breakfast the next day was equally, if not more, delicious. While expensive, we enjoyed a serene getaway with our private outdoor bath and excellent meals. Would love to return.

I've changed 3 hostels, 2 ryokans, and this is definitely the best one!!! IT'S A HIDDEN GEM. AND I honestly hope it stays that way so I can book it on my next trip to Japan and stay here longer. YOU get access to two private onsens, one on each floor, and one public onsen on the ground floor, that I honestly even loved more than the private ones. Everything is super clean, taken care of with love and the staff is super nice, and they speak English in case you don't speak Japanese! The rooms are incredible, I loved sleeping on the futon, there was enough space in rooms for everybody to leave their luggage, and in the kitchen you could help yourself to free tea, coffee, jams, bread etc. The kitchen has everything you need, and you can even do laundry. Everything you need is there. The views from the room, and especially from the common room are incredible! They have a kotatsu, and books you can read. There's at least 5 sections in the common area in case you want privacy. Honestly the best ryokan ever. And it's affordable!!!

다카야마에 자리한 Iroriyado Hidaya에서는 정원, 무료 전용 주차장, 공용 라운지 등을 이용하실 수 있습니다. 숙소는 다카야마역에서 18분 거리에 있습니다. 이 4성급 료칸에서는 에어컨, 공용 욕실, 무료 Wi-Fi가 완비된 객실을 이용하실 수 있습니다. 히다 민속촌에서 2km 거리에 있는 이 숙소에서는 금연실 이용이 가능합니다. Everything !! From the great welcome we received to the food and the rooms and the comfy memory foam Futons ! Not to mention the Kimono try outs and fitting which was so fun for the family. And the special treatment that the kids received from the attentive staff. An amazing experience, we were so sad to leave

마쓰모토에 자리한 Mitsubikiya에서는 정원, 공용 라운지, 테라스, 무료 Wi-Fi 등을 이용하실 수 있습니다. 숙소는 마쓰모토역에서 9분 거리, 일본 유키요에 박물관에서 3.9km 거리에 있습니다. 숙소는 마쓰모토성에서 약 1km 내, 스와호에서 33km, 가미스와역에서 36km 거리에 있습니다. Had to check in early which wasn't a problem. The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

아타미에 자리한 Atami Sekaie에서는 차량으로 오는 투숙객을 위한 무료 전용 주차장뿐 아니라 레스토랑, 무료 Wi-Fi도 제공합니다. 숙소는 아타미 선 비치에서 2.6km, 하코네유모토역에서 25km 거리에 있습니다. 숙소는 슈젠지 신사에서 약 36km, Hakone Checkpoint에서 22km, 하코네 신사에서 25km 거리에 있습니다. Everything! The staff were so polite and welcoming. The welcome seating and drink while staff helped us check in was so pleasant, our own personal staff to show us to our room, the beautiful room with all the little details or amenities, our own traditional Yakuta to wear to meals, the private onsen and peaceful nature of the ocean view. Everything was amazing!!

오시노에 자리한 八海 木花館에서는 무료 자전거, 무료 전용 주차장, 정원 등을 이용하실 수 있습니다. 숙소는 후지큐 하이랜드에서 10km 거리에 있습니다. 숙소는 가와구치호에서 14km, 후지산에서 29km, 하코네유모토역에서 46km 거리에 있습니다. 이 료칸에는 온수 욕조, 룸서비스, 무료 Wi-Fi 등이 구비되어 있습니다. We liked how the hotel staff received us, the dinner, the breakfast, the onsen, the garden, the room itself, the toilet, everything was top-notch.
