Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Kaiseki dinner was very delicious! And served on time. Private bath also very clean and comfortable. Public bath onsen really big and has very nice view of mt. fuji. Great service to have pick up shuttle from hotel to kawaguchiko terminal. Definetly will come back.

Amazing location with good view of Fuji. The staff were so lovely and one lady who checked us in, showed us our room and told us all about the hotel offerings was so lovely. we didn’t catch her name but she was great and had good English too.

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. lovely stay in a magical place. fantastic hosts have thought of everything and it was immaculately clean.

Excellent location near Takayama station, attentive staff, great onsen facilities and breakfast. There isn't much to do in Takayama after a certain hour in Winter but that is ok, since the ryokan has a very inviting area where you can relax, read, try calligraphy and origami, have some tea... I left my mobile phone in the room and enjoyed the entertainment provided there, completely agnostic of the outside world. Great way to disconnect!

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. Traditional inn, old building but extremely clean and warm. I booked room without toilet, glad there is shared toilet on every floor and 1 just outside our room. Common lounge has card and board games, we had great time playing. Staff are polite and helpful, location is near restaurants and Ito station.

Set within less than 1 km of Matsumoto Station and 4.3 km of The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, Nunoya Ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Matsumoto. Very authentic setting, beautiful location perfect for sightseeing and shopping and very modern bathroom. Breakfast was also amazing - Japanese style and really tasty.

Situated 1.6 km from Takayama Station, Iroriyado Hidaya is a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in Takayama, boasting a garden, a shared lounge and private parking. Incredible kindlessness from the ryokan staff! They have helped us with everything during our stay. The Ryokan is very beautiful, and has a spectacular 'tatto-friendly' onsen! Amazing breakfast!! 100% recommendable!

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Mitsubikiya features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 800 metres from Matsumoto Station. Great local breakfast. The best we had in Japan. Location is very good. And the staff was very friendly. Suitable for a family with kids.

Atami Sekaie is set in Atami, 2.6 km from Atami Sun Beach, 25 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, as well as 36 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. Everything! The staff were so polite and welcoming. The welcome seating and drink while staff helped us check in was so pleasant, our own personal staff to show us to our room, the beautiful room with all the little details or amenities, our own traditional Yakuta to wear to meals, the private onsen and peaceful nature of the ocean view. Everything was amazing!!
