IKOI Villa, hotel in Karuizawa

Situated in Karuizawa, IKOI Villa offers 3-star accommodation with private terraces. A public bath and a bicycle rental service are available for guests.

It's beautiful, feels luxurious yet close to nature. A 10 minute walk from a modern path towards the bird sanctuary and hiking trails towards several waterfalls. The room was large and clean. The womans bath was pleasant, but the men's seemed to have a leakage.

柏屋旅館<シェアハウス&ゲストハウス>, hotel in Karuizawa

Featuring garden views, 柏屋旅館<シェアハウス&ゲストハウス> in Saku offers accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. The air-conditioned accommodation is 15 km from Honmachi Machiyakan.

This place was beautiful! Situated near Nakagomi train station in a mall area that is somewhat quiet, perhaps due to the after-effects of COVID, but still has lots of restaurants within close proximity. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and easy to communicate with despite my lack of Japanese. I had a triple room to myself and it was a lovely, spacious room for a decent price. The bathroom is outside of the room but there was a sink within. The shower is downstairs but it is private. Highly recommend.

Yamakikan, hotel in Karuizawa

Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Yamakikan is a ryokan set in a historic building in Naganohara, 48 km from Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park.

Good place for its price point. Authentic food in the region, full japanese staff (as we could see), no fuss but no extras too. Great view of the mountains if you get the right room. I would say value for money place.

This is our 3rd time to visit Karuizawa. We had a great dinner at fine dining Restaurant, all dishes are really great. Our Moms enjoyed very much for Mothers day. Reception is really helpful, he help reserve table for restaurant, and explained Onsen in detail. It is friendly for elders to use hot spring. Lobby is mordern, with exquisite view. Villa with sloping roof feel ourselves in a forest gallery. We loved and definitely will stay here again.

Fantastic indoor onsen included in the ryokan. The whole atmosphere of the ryokan is fantastic, with a mini aquarium near the stairs, a stunning garden in the hallways leading to the onsen.

We love the wooden smell in the property. Everything inside are very clean and new. The property is very near to Hoshino Hot Spring Onsen, just 3 minutes driving. The description in Booking.com matches the property perfectly. Very easy to communicate with the owner via email.

We spent two nights in Hotel Tsuruya and we had very pleasant time, especially my 4.5 year old boy. The staffs were very warm and helpful. The room and onsen place were tidy and clean. My boy loves futon and the Japanese breakfast especially the rice and miso soup. Although this hotel is not that close to the train station, we had fabulous walking time, stomping on the snows and chasing around before and after dinner.

I'm a regular with booking.com for 10+ years n true onsens hopper and I must expressed this is 1 of those bad ryokans we have ever experienced!! Traditional old we can expect but toilet was dirty n service was zero.. food was bad unlike a real ryokan we were served western food for both nights! They still used kerosene as heater n whole ryokan was smelling of kerosene!! Utterly DISAPPOINTED n for the price we paid....it was really NOT WORTH IT AT ALL..
