Ideally set in the center of Kyoto, ALA HOTEL KYOTO has air-conditioned rooms, a fitness center, free WiFi and a restaurant. It is less than 10-min walking distance from Kyoto station and very easy to find. Our room was quite big considering normal Japanese hotel rooms. Public spa was great including outdoor one. Excellent in overall if you would like to look for a hotel near the station and relax after your day.

Well set in the center of Kyoto, Kyoto Umekoji Kadensho is within 1.1 miles of Kyoto Station and 1.1 miles of TKP Garden City Kyoto. Amazing hotel in the Japanese traditional style, where you are supposed to walk bare foot all over the place. Lovely onsens, both private and public, are avaliable without reservation, you can wear traditional and cosy japanese-style bathrobes and try free of charge evening's soup and icecreams. The staff is always ready to help and polite. We felt a taste of Japan there, even if we were just to stay in the hotel and not to see the cultural heritage of Kyoto! Highly recommended place!

The property was spotless, the room was bigger than all of the other hotels where we stayed during our trip to Japan, breakfast was plentiful, staff were amazing and it was very accessible to the train station. I should have booked my entire stay in Kyoto at this hotel.

Attractively located in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, MIMARU Kyoto Station is located a 17-minute walk from Sanjusangen-do Temple, half a mile from Kyoto Station and 1.8 miles from Gion Shijo... Great location, literally a stone’s throw from Kyoto Station. We took the family room with garden - really worth the extra cost. Staff were very helpful. There’s a 7-11 just round the corner on the way from the station. We stayed in 3 different Mimaru properties in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka and this was by far the best one. Highly recommended for families.
