Conveniently set in the Minami Ward district of Kyoto, 大日寺の宿 京都吉祥院 is located 2.3 miles from Tofuku-ji Temple, 2.4 miles from Kyoto Station and 2.4 miles from Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. The staff are excellent, they can't help you enough. Great value accommodation, clean and spacious. I cannot understand why it's not a 5 star hotel. I will return soon, it just made my stay in Kyoto so so much better. A special thanks to Machi and Yoshi. I highly recommend this hotel, especially because of Machi and Yoshi, I can not truly say how welcomed I was , how nice the staff are ...especially Machi and Yoshi.

The hotel was in an excellent location, really quiet and next door to Misasagi station. The room was really comfortable and had a fully equipped kitchen and even a washing machine, which we were grateful for. The staff was really helpful and came to meet us after check-in time despite is being really late and helped me get my Suica card back after I lost it. I really recommend this hotel and hope to be back in the future
