Property was very clean with a really nice sauna and cold tub. It was in a good location as well with good WiFi and attractions nearby.

Having an onsen in the ryokan is a huge bonus - this is probably the highlight of our stay. Authentic Japanese breakfast served. The location is near the train station making sites around Lake Biwa accessible. We're so glad we stayed here.

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a lift and free shuttle service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. I liked the quiet location, the view of Lake Biwa, the friendly staff, and the access to both public and private onsen facilities.

Located in Hikone, within less than 1 km of Hikone Castle and 7.2 km of Maibara Station, Honmachi Juku provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. This 2-star ryokan offers a shared lounge. The ryokan features family rooms. The homemade Japanese breakfasts were phenomenal and a very good value. Almost unbelievable. Each day was different, with a healthy balance of vegetables, proteins, and carbs (rice). Authentic, and served by a wonderful woman.

Only a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto Onsen Station with the complimentary shuttle, hotel Yuzanso features Japanese-style rooms with a private open-air hot spring bath and spectacular views of Biwako Lake. The hotel also offers massage treatments and a sauna. JR Ogoto Onsen Station offers a direct transit in 20 minutes to Kyoto Station. Meals were served in the restaurant instead of in the room. The meals were delicious and deceptively filling (as in, you wouldn't think you'd get full but you do!). Our room was amazing with a great view. The in-room onsen worked perfectly.

It is a wonderful and relaxing environment and allows you to enjoy the best onsen experience. The hotel staff organised the shuttle bus for us even though it passed 6pm to ensure we made it to our dinner reservation. The food provided was 10/10, possibly one of the best meals we had in Japan ! And I forgot an item when I left the hotel, the staff just mailed it to my next hotel within the next day. Will definitely come back!

The Japanese-style rooms at Ryokan Tobaya feature futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Facilities for making green tea are included, and bathrooms and toilets are shared. Rooms have a traditional decor with shoji paper screens and floor cushions. The building looked very authentic and the staff was really helpful. I enjoyed the room and it was quiet. Maybe I should have taken the breakfast option.

Excellent pick up service from the JR station, amazing facility with diverse hot spring settings, beautiful family room with view of Lake Biwa. Food was also amazing! All in all a fantastic experience.
