Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. The rooms are beautiful, the view is amazing, the staff are absolutely lovely. The private hot springs are great. This place is very charming - even magical. Experiencing Biwako Hanakaido felt like experiencing proper Japanese traditions/customs. It felt like a privilege. It's a truly rare and amazing experience that isn't easy to come by. I highly recommend spending a night or a few here.

The amenities were thoughtful and high quality. The host was extremely friendly and treated us to a tour of beautiful Nagahama.

Terletak di Hikone, kurang dari 1 km dari Istana Hikone, Honmachi Juku menyediakan penginapan dengan taman, tempat parking peribadi percuma dan lounge berkongsi. The homemade Japanese breakfasts were phenomenal and a very good value. Almost unbelievable. Each day was different, with a healthy balance of vegetables, proteins, and carbs (rice). Authentic, and served by a wonderful woman.

Only a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto Onsen Station with the complimentary shuttle, hotel Yuzanso features Japanese-style rooms with a private open-air hot spring bath and spectacular views of Biwako... Great get away to relax and unwind. Hot springs, private and public were fantastic. Only reserved breakfast and the food was excellent. Room was very large looking out to lake Biwa. Hotel staff were very helpful and informative. The free shuttle to and from the hotel was also a plus.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. It is a wonderful and relaxing environment and allows you to enjoy the best onsen experience. The hotel staff organised the shuttle bus for us even though it passed 6pm to ensure we made it to our dinner reservation. The food provided was 10/10, possibly one of the best meals we had in Japan ! And I forgot an item when I left the hotel, the staff just mailed it to my next hotel within the next day. Will definitely come back!

Tobaya Ryokan terletak di Hikone, 17-minit berjalan kaki dari Istana Hikone dan 7.7km dari Keramat Taga-taisha. Very traditional feel, hosts gave a lot of space but were readily available when required. Hikone is a lovely area to cycle. I cycled to the next town Taga with the free bicycle (believe you may need to book early if it's peak season) and stopped at Patisserie violet. The hamburg restaurant nearby was superb. For omi beef Ikkyu (mid range price) was delicious. Breakfast is recommended!

Terletak di lokasi yang menarik di daerah Ogoto Onsen bagi Ōtsu, Yumotokan terletak 16km dari Kuil Enryaku-ji, 17km dari Gunung Hiei dan 19km dari Kuil Shoren-in. Onsens were awesome. Kaiseki dinners were ok. Room was huge by Japan standards.

Ebisusou terletak di Takashima, 39km dari Rurikoin dan 41km dari Kuil Enryaku-ji. Ryokan 2-bintang ini mempunyai bilik berhawa-dingin dengan bilik mandi berkongsi dan WiFi percuma. The place is a little bit odd yes, but it’s a wonderful example of a traditional Japanese hospitality (even if the building doesn’t look traditional… but 70s) the hot bath was one of the best I ever had in Japan and the food was incredible. And I paid only 8250 yen for a half course stay (1 person). And the owner did his best to explain everything (with a digital language translator).
