Majutusasutuses Biwako Hanakaido on väljas ja siseruumides paiknevad kuumaveeallikate vannid, 3 söögikohta ning rõduga toad, kust avaneb vaade Biwako järvele. The rooms are beautiful, the view is amazing, the staff are absolutely lovely. The private hot springs are great. This place is very charming - even magical. Experiencing Biwako Hanakaido felt like experiencing proper Japanese traditions/customs. It felt like a privilege. It's a truly rare and amazing experience that isn't easy to come by. I highly recommend spending a night or a few here.

Sauna ja tasuta eraparklaga Hitoiki asub Hikone lossist 14 km ja Maibara jaamast 8,6 km kaugusel. Our room was wonderful. The amenities were thoughtful and high quality. The host was extremely friendly and treated us to a tour of beautiful Nagahama.

Aiaga ühe tärniga pärjatud Marumo Ryokan asub Takashimas, 46 km kaugusel Sanzen-ini templist. Külalised saavad kasutada avalikku sauna. Staff were exceptional and breakfast was authentic Japanese experience.

Ryokan Beniayu asub Nagahamas, kõigest 26 km kaugusel Hikone lossist. Kohapeal on vabaõhuvann, tasuta jalgrattad ja lift. Kolmetärnihotelli kõigist tubadest avaneb vaade järvele. Lovely view of the lake, amazing service, and nice, mature guests

Honmachi Juku asub Hikone linnas, vähem kui 1 km kaugusel Hikone lossist ja 7,2 km kaugusel Maibara jaamast. Kohapeal on aed, tasuta WiFi-ühendus ja tasuta eraparkla. The homemade Japanese breakfasts were phenomenal and a very good value. Almost unbelievable. Each day was different, with a healthy balance of vegetables, proteins, and carbs (rice). Authentic, and served by a wonderful woman.

Hotell Yuzanso asub JR Ogoto Onseni jaamast vaid 5-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel. Great get away to relax and unwind. Hot springs, private and public were fantastic. Only reserved breakfast and the food was excellent. Room was very large looking out to lake Biwa. Hotel staff were very helpful and informative. The free shuttle to and from the hotel was also a plus.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. It is a wonderful and relaxing environment and allows you to enjoy the best onsen experience. The hotel staff organised the shuttle bus for us even though it passed 6pm to ensure we made it to our dinner reservation. The food provided was 10/10, possibly one of the best meals we had in Japan ! And I forgot an item when I left the hotel, the staff just mailed it to my next hotel within the next day. Will definitely come back!

Tobaya Ryokan asub rahulikus Jaapani aias ning pakub traditsioonilisi tube, kus on konditsioneer, LCD-televiisor ja ühine vannituba. Hikone loss jääb 20-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusele. Very traditional feel, hosts gave a lot of space but were readily available when required. Hikone is a lovely area to cycle. I cycled to the next town Taga with the free bicycle (believe you may need to book early if it's peak season) and stopped at Patisserie violet. The hamburg restaurant nearby was superb. For omi beef Ikkyu (mid range price) was delicious. Breakfast is recommended!

Yumotokan pakub hiljuti renoveeritud neljatärnihotelli Otsu Ogoto Onseni piirkonnas, 16 km kaugusel Enryaku-ji templist. Kohapeal on piljardilaud, lauatenniselaud ja tasuta eraparkla. Onsens were awesome. Kaiseki dinners were ok. Room was huge by Japan standards.

Ebisusou asub Takashimas, 39 km kaugusel Ruriko-ini templist, 41 km kaugusel Enryaku-ji templist ja 42 km kaugusel Hiei mäest. The place is a little bit odd yes, but it’s a wonderful example of a traditional Japanese hospitality (even if the building doesn’t look traditional… but 70s) the hot bath was one of the best I ever had in Japan and the food was incredible. And I paid only 8250 yen for a half course stay (1 person). And the owner did his best to explain everything (with a digital language translator).
