Kotono yado Musashino offers accommodation in Nara, and is located a 11-minute drive from Nara Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. I loved everything about it. The food was exceptional.

The picturesque Japanese-style guest house Hotobil B&B 潤 An inn that enjoys breakfast is centrally located in Nara, 10 minutes by taxi from JR Nara Station. Overall a great experience and a highlight of our trip - amazing host, excellent dinner and breakfast (make sure to order these when staying here!), very cozy Japanese-style rooms. Good location, too - very peaceful neighborhood, but still close to all the sights. We'll be sure to stay here again next time we're in Nara!

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. Staying here was a wonderful experience for our family, including 3 kids, ages 10, 15, 17. The location was magical and serene, the food delicious and unique. Wish we could have stayed longer to participate in more of the educational opportunities. Took a train, then a local bus as close as we could and then walked the last 3/4 mile, which worked out fine since we only had day packs on us, but you may want to plan your transportation ahead of time if this wouldn't work for you.

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. everything was over the top! the place is beautiful, we stayed in the new rooms which the design is another league, keeping the Japanese style, with mountains views. The meal service was the best experience I had in Japan, also traditional. The staff is hyper kind. Is the best Ryokan experience I had. Definitely will be back!

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the manager of the hotel and her assistant, and treated like kings throughout first showing us our rooms, and then when serving dinner in the private dinner room. If you like Kaiseki dinner, then you are in for a treat because the food is very good. They also offer vegetarian or Halal options which is excellent. The location is in the middle of a nice forest from where you can hike to the top and then get a nice view of Osaka, and it's an easy hike. We came a bit late to the hotel which unfortunately did not allow us to fully experience the Ryokan on the first day. If you come here, you can come early to Nara, leave your luggage in the lockers near the station (they are cheaper right outside than inside the station), and then walk around the deer park and to the temple (won't take more than 2 hours). Then have a meal, go to the Ryokan, take a walk around the forest, come back for a nice bath, then have your dinner, after which you can relax in your room. I feel this will give you the full experience.

Located in Ikoma and only 8.8 km from Iwafune Shrine, Kanko Ryokan Yamato provides accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. The greeting we got on arrival was nothing but friendly. The lady who runs it doesn’t speak English, but understands little bits (we used Google translate for longer sentences). She’s such a lovely lady and very welcoming, showed us around the Ryokan and the facilities. The shower room is amazing with its hot bath! We loved staying in a traditional Japanese room with tatami flooring and the comfy futon beds, and the views from our window of the city was gorgeous! Definitely want to make a return visit and stay for longer :)

Kadojin features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Tenkawa. The property has garden and inner courtyard views. Everything was outstanding: so quiet and typical, private room for the meals, incredibly kind personnel, remote place, access to the japanese wilderness (trek, torrent, forrest...)

Located 19 km from Iwafune Shrine, 22 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium and 23 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church, Nara Ryokan provides accommodation set in Nara. This place was exactly what I was looking for. A quiet ryokan with a private tattoo-friendly onsen. My room was big and the futon was very comfy. I appreciated the complimentary water and a kettle to make tea. Everything was so good, thank you! I will definitely come back.

Located in Nara, 4.1 km from Nara Station, KAMENOI HOTEL Nara provides accommodation with a spa and wellness centre, free private parking, an open-air bath and a garden. Our Ryokan experience was impeccable!!! from the service, food and facilities, everything was beyond my expectation.. The staffs are very nice and respectful! I highly recommend this hotel!

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. the food was amazing, the staff was super friendly, the ofuro was nice, the outside bath was amazing, the tatami floor was beautiful
