The picturesque Japanese-style guest house Hotobil B&B 潤 An inn that enjoys breakfast is centrally located in Nara, 10 minutes by taxi from JR Nara Station. Thank you very much for the kind welcome! We really enjoyed our stay here, the beds were particularly comfortable and we adored the kotatsu, looking into buying one in the future hahaha. The breakfast was fab, really appreciated the more traditional Japanese breakfast! Also thanks so much for bringing us our forgotten items after we had left for a few minutes, our forgetful selves are very appreciative! :)

Staying here was a wonderful experience for our family, including 3 kids, ages 10, 15, 17. The location was magical and serene, the food delicious and unique. Wish we could have stayed longer to participate in more of the educational opportunities. Took a train, then a local bus as close as we could and then walked the last 3/4 mile, which worked out fine since we only had day packs on us, but you may want to plan your transportation ahead of time if this wouldn't work for you.

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Really friendly, welcoming staff with good English, welcomed us with tea, showed us to our rooms and advised us about the local areas. Cypress room private onsen was incredible, we booked this in advance (around £25 for an hour) at sunset and had incredible views. One of my favourite onsen experiences of the trip. Public onsen spaces are also nice with multiple baths. Really close to the Nara parks and can easily walk into town for food.

Tsukihitei er staðsett í Kasugayama Primeval-skóginum, sem er á heimsminjaskrá UNESCO. The food experience was very unique, the team was very helpful to accommodate my requests and did their best to make sure my stay was smooth!

Kanko Ryokan Yamato er staðsett í Ikoma, aðeins 8,8 km frá Iwafune-helgiskríninu og býður upp á gistirými með borgarútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Yamato may not be the closest to Osaka, but it is still pretty close to Ikoma station from where you can take the Kintetsu line into the city. The area around the ryokan is amazing, but warning - the stairs going up to it are only easy downwards :D Yamato itself is amazing, it has everything for the traditional ryokan experience - tatami, futon, onsen and yukata. The owner is super nice and she even asked her husband to help me with my big luggages, thank you so much! I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area!

Kadojin er með fjallaútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði, en gististaðurinn er í Tenkawa. Gististaðurinn er með útsýni yfir garðinn og innri húsgarðinn. It's the best accommodation! Big room and private hot springs! All the staff were so kind. Dinner&breakfast was good quality and obviously delicious. I didn't even want to check out forever. I definitely will book again.

Yoshinoonsen Motoyu er staðsett í Yoshino og aðeins 38 km frá Subaru Hall en það býður upp á gistirými með fjallaútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. very kind, warm and welcoming staff! very cozy and serene place to stay, highly recommend!

The meals are the best of our whole trip in Japan. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is nested by the creek yet right across the street from the bus stop. The location is perfect. The host gave us a ride to the nearby public Onsen and gave us a tour to the Tenkawa Daibenziten-Sha Shrine, where the Emperor of the Southern Court had lived around 700 years ago. We took a less than two-hour scenic hike to the Dorogawa Onsen village, and 25 minutes bus back. Loved their private bath which includes both indoor and outdoor tubs all to yourself but needs to book with the host.

Yukawaya er 2 stjörnu gististaður í Yoshino, 42 km frá Nara-stöðinni og 45 km frá Tanpi-helgiskríninu. Everyone was very kind and the food was delicious!
