Our time here was amazing, we enjoyed the Lakes area and this apartment so much! Location is perfect - few minutes walk from the Windermere train station and tons of restaurants and shops are also a short walk away. The apartment had so much room for our family of four (3 adults, 1 teen). Everything was sparkling new and worked perfectly! The only things I would note are if you are traveling with young kids or anyone with mobility issues, the stairs will probably be challenging for you. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend to stay here!

The Windermere Hydro Hotel as it was in 1977 was my first employer as a 16 year old Apprentice Chef. Now living in Darwin Australia, I wanted my wife to experience the property, Windermere. & the Lake District. It was really Great to do this. The layout of the place has changed quite a bit, but they are keeping it nicely maintained. There is even an employee (Neil in Maintenance) still there since my time 47 years ago!!!! well done Neil and all the other staff that listened to my story.

Applegarth Villa Hotel is located in a beautiful and central location in Windermere. The suite ‘Great How’, which we stayed in was extremely luxurious, including a hot tub on the balcony, a SPA bath with TV, a lounge area with TV, a comfortable and cosy bedroom with TV, two balconies with views of the Windermere mountains and many other facilities. The restaurant and bar facilities were also excellent, with a wide selection of delicious ‘gluten free’ options for breakfast and dinner.

This apartment is very tastefully done up, and is also newly renovated with appliances. But the real luxury is the way the host has anticipated your every need and ensured you do not lack for anything, from minor details like salt and cooking oil and coffee pods in the kitchen to major things. His guide to Windermere and the lake District is a treasure and by itself is worth making the booking for. This is the intelligent person's place of stay in the lake district!

Station Lodge was ideally located in the center of Windermere close to shops, restaurants and amenities. Bowness on Windermere is a 30 minute walk which we done Saturday evening. Our room was clean and comfortable. Coffee/Tea facilities were available. We used the leisure facilities at choices health club which was an amazing perk to the hotel stay!! Amazing stay we cannot to book again Thanks Liam for your amazing customer service.

Breakfast was standard hotel buffet breakfast but done very very well and the collection of dining rooms available where all amazing. The hotel itself is older but that just adds a very certain type of charm, especially given the gorgeous location of the Lake District. The staff where all flawless and I cannot recommend the Windermere enough if you're looking for a quaint, comfortable and clean hotel just outside of town.

Good choice at breakfast. Comfortable seating with scenic views. Efficient and welcoming staff each morning. Hotel designed to maximise views. A cosy hotel within easy walking distance of Bowness and Windermere. We have stayed in a few hotels in Windermere over the years but this would definitely warrant a repeat visit. It ticked all the boxes for a quiet, cosy winter break prior to the busy Christmas family get together.

The location was fantastic - you could easily explore the whole area around Windermere, including the surrounding towns. The information book provided by the hotel also meant I discovered an amazing spot for sightseeing that I wouldn't otherwise have visited. The bathroom was superb and the soap and bath accessories smelt lovely! The breakfast was made to order and the staff were very helpful when serving it.

Pool and sauna which we had to ourselves as you can book slots , so swim before breakfast and one on return from our cycling . Staff very friendly and helpful. Lounges very comfortable and tastefully decorated . Lovely cosy atmosphere. Equal distance from Windermere and bowness a short 15 min stroll so plenty of choice for eating out in the evening . Hotel also has great restaurant with wonderful food .

This amazing apartment is centrally located and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. On street parking available outside, short walk to Windermere shops, bars and restaurants as well as being close to the bus stop if needed. The apartment is spacious and modern with the added benefit of still retaining some original features. There really is nothing I could fault about this apartment.

My husband and I have stayed several times in the windermere Boutique Hotel. Everything was fantastic as usual, including all of the hard-working and friendly staff. We decided to stay and dine in on one of our evenings. The food was amazing. We had the homemade soup for starters and lamb for our main course. The breakfast in the mornings is really nice too.

I planned a special birthday getaway for my boyfriend, and this property was perfect. We absolutely loved our stay at the Architect’s Loft, with the location being central it made it easy for us to explore Windermere. The apartment was gorgeous, definitely the nicest place I’ve ever stayed! We really appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was.

Loved the hospitality of the receptionists, the room was well presented, all clean and felt cosy. Plus the bath is amazing, nice and relaxing, I could stay in it for hours. Especially was nice when I was recommended places to go, made the place feel more unique as the hotel welcomed guest to the community around Windermere, not just the hotel :)

Breakfast was great, staff super friendly. Room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel is around 10 min drive from Windermere (I wouldn't advise walking distance), parking is first come first serve basis. Check in was just picking your key up from the entrance and the little additions such a doggy poop bags and towels were such nice touches!!

Location was great 15/, 20 min walk to Bowness and Lake Windermere , and 5 min walk to Windermere. Near to a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. Hotel was perfect, staff were very friendly, nice loungs to sit and read, breakfast was delicious, locally sourced produce and served piping hot. Bed very comfy and room spacious.

The Mulberry was lovely, in the heart of Windermere close to all shops,bars, restaurants. Ruth recommended local restaurants/cafe’s and walks for us after booking which was great. The apartment itself is spotless and check in / out was easy, the Hot Tub was great especially after all the walking we did with our 2 dogs.

This hidden treasure in the center of Bowness on Windermere. From stepping foot inside this beautiful Hotel and Spa you are treat like royalty. The amazing staff,beautiful spa,added bonus of a hot tub on our balcony. Pub onsite and a gorgeous asian restaurant. We will definitely be returning.

The staff was very friendly and kind. She treated us like family, always had chocolate as treats (it was during Christmas), and recommended us places to go. The hotel was also very close to the Windermere railway station (just 2-3 minutes walk). Was also close to booths grocery shop.

Location for us was brilliant - short five minute walk into Bowness-on-Windermere, right on the lakeside with all the bird life - especially the swans! Apartment is part of a complex but we were not bothered by the other occupants and the on-site parking was great and easy to get into.

Apartment just as described/pictures. Very well equipped (think bits like foil, oil, salt/pepper, makeup remover pads). Beautiful view of the lake, very private. The owner responded to our messages very quickly. Will be staying here again as we come to Windermere every year.
