The Old Hall Inn

Chinley

Situated at the heart of the Peak District, The Old Hall Inn offers free Wi-Fi throughout. The quintessential English country pub is set just 15 miles from Manchester and within 10 minutes’ walk of Chinley Railway Station. What a great place! The pub dates from the mid 1500’s and a lot of the original features still remain. The restaurant offers some amazing food, with one section reminiscent of a medieval banqueting hall. You should book to make sure you get a table as it is very popular. We had rooms in the annexed pub (literally across the road) which were very quirky with low ceilings and a lot of original stonework. The sister pub has a minimal menu offering fabulous pizzas, good beer and great wine. We were there for two nights and used it as a base to go exploring the High Peaks.
