Devonshire Arms at Pilsley - Chatsworth is located on the Chatsworth Estate, which is owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Charming and comfy and excellent food, couldn’t ask for a more lovely couple of days. We even walked to Chatsworth for the day, stopping to converse with the “locals” (sheep) Simply a Lovely place to stay.

Around 12 miles from Sheffield, in the heart of the Peak District, The Plough Inn in Hathersage is a 16th-century inn in Derbyshire. It has a cosy bar and restaurant and offers free parking and Wi-Fi.... Fantastic location just far enough outside the town to avoid the crowds but close enough to walk.

Situated at the heart of the Peak District, The Old Hall Inn offers free Wi-Fi throughout. What a great place! The pub dates from the mid 1500’s and a lot of the original features still remain. The restaurant offers some amazing food, with one section reminiscent of a medieval banqueting hall. You should book to make sure you get a table as it is very popular. We had rooms in the annexed pub (literally across the road) which were very quirky with low ceilings and a lot of original stonework. The sister pub has a minimal menu offering fabulous pizzas, good beer and great wine. We were there for two nights and used it as a base to go exploring the High Peaks.
