Situated in the picturesque village of Monte, surrounded by extensive mature gardens, this historic manor house hotel offers elegant rooms with a balcony. Great place and location on Madeira, just 15 minutes by car or taxi from the city center of Funchal. You can also get there by bus or cable car, which is also just around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially valuing the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, quietness, and amazing views. You are looking on Funchal, mountains and the ocean just sitting on your balcony.  All the staff members, in particular the receptionists, did their best to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. If you are looking for something special and don’t want to be treated like just a number, or if you are not a big fan of the all-inclusive concept like we aren’t, then this could be something for you. It feels a bit like being part of a historical novel. The hotel is located in a former estate, and a lot of its classic, glorious interior was kept in the general areas: In the hotel lobby, bar, and restaurant, they had original paintings, furniture, and other decor details. The beautiful garden, swimming pool, decent breakfast, and spacious room with a big balcony made everything just perfect for us. It was practical that there was a small fridge in the room, and there are a couple of good restaurants/cafes very close to the hotel. Last but not least: Don’t miss all the sights in this area (the tropical and botanical gardens, 2 cable cars, and carreiros).

Located amongst the famous gardens of Monte, in the heart of this romantic and lush village in the hills above Funchal, OurMadeira - Babosas Village, gardénias and greenspaces features spacious... Staff is exceptional, very helpful. We were greeted with Madeira wine, had another complimentary bottle and cakes in a room. One morning we had to leave a bit early and they came early just to serve us a breakfast. Breakfast is excellent, so is dinner. In fact I'd recommend to visit this place also just for dinner. It is uphill and driving there is a bit tricky. Powerful car with automatic gearbox is very recommended. Would advise to take a bus instead. Bus stop is next to hotel.

Situated within the Monte district in Funchal, Babosas Charm has air conditioning, a terrace, and city views. Almost everything. Difficult to find fault.

Situated in Funchal and only 4.2 km from Marina do Funchal, Casa de Feria do Livramento features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. First of all José was an amazing person and really nice and friendly and My family and I were really really happy with the hospitality that they brought to us to stay on this beautiful island of Madeira we would definitely stay here again one day in the Future! The house was big and Exceeded our expectations. Thank you once again José

Dioclecio was a very friendly and helpful host and his responses when we messaged him were instant.. Everything was really clean and we had everything we needed. A very beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend it.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Mountain Eco Shelter 7 is set in Funchal, 25 km from Girao Cape and 29 km from Santana's traditional houses. We loved our Eco Shelter stay! It felt like a real escape. Lovely location, beautiful park and surroundings. The hut was perfect. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. We received a lovely welcome from Dioclecio, who was really friendly and great at communicating. If we visit Madeira again, we will definitely stay here :) Highly recommend. Thank you!

This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. - The shelter was nicely decorated, loved the kitchen! - Very clean and the park is very well maintained. - Our host was super helpful and friendly. - The location of the park is amazing, you can really get some rest and chill out. - Bed is very comfortable. - Cozy restaurant at walking distance. Overall a perfect experience, would love to come back!

Offering free bikes and mountain view, Mountain Eco Shelter 4 is situated in Funchal, 14 km from Marina do Funchal and 25 km from Girao Cape. Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!
