Situated in the picturesque village of Monte, surrounded by extensive mature gardens, this historic manor house hotel offers elegant rooms with a balcony. Great place and location on Madeira, just 15 minutes by car or taxi from the city center of Funchal. You can also get there by bus or cable car, which is also just around the corner. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially valuing the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, quietness, and amazing views. You are looking on Funchal, mountains and the ocean just sitting on your balcony.  All the staff members, in particular the receptionists, did their best to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. If you are looking for something special and don’t want to be treated like just a number, or if you are not a big fan of the all-inclusive concept like we aren’t, then this could be something for you. It feels a bit like being part of a historical novel. The hotel is located in a former estate, and a lot of its classic, glorious interior was kept in the general areas: In the hotel lobby, bar, and restaurant, they had original paintings, furniture, and other decor details. The beautiful garden, swimming pool, decent breakfast, and spacious room with a big balcony made everything just perfect for us. It was practical that there was a small fridge in the room, and there are a couple of good restaurants/cafes very close to the hotel. Last but not least: Don’t miss all the sights in this area (the tropical and botanical gardens, 2 cable cars, and carreiros).

Panoramic terrace and rooms overlooking the Funchal Bay await guests at this 5-star hotel. Located 2 km from Funchal, it also features a sea-view outdoor pool and a spa with massages. We stayed before our flight back home, very cozy hotel with everything in it. Spa was very pleasant and relaxing. Thank you!

Located amongst the famous gardens of Monte, in the heart of this romantic and lush village in the hills above Funchal, OurMadeira - Babosas Village, gardénias and greenspaces features spacious... Room is clean, modern, big, with own terrace. Everything is just great. Stuff is super polite

Objekat Casa de Feria do Livramento, udaljen oko 4,2 km od znamenitosti Marina Funchal, nudi smeštaj sa balkonom i aparatom za kafu, kao i pogled na more. We were treated so well, nothing was too much trouble. If there was something we needed we only had to ask. The location was perfect for the bus into town or up to Monte. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat from the city then this is the place.

Dioclecio was a very friendly and helpful host and his responses when we messaged him were instant.. Everything was really clean and we had everything we needed. A very beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend it.

If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to escape the crowds, this is the place for you. From the hut you can hike directly towards Pico do Areeiro.

Objekat Mountain Eco Shelter 4, udaljen oko 14 km od znamenitosti Marina Funchal, u ponudi ima smeštaj sa besplatnim biciklima, vrtom i terasom, kao i pogled na planinu. Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!
