This 5-star hotel is a perfect place for the holiday. It's on the mountain side, high place we could see all over the city. But I don't suggest you to drive to there because the road is too narrow for driving except you are a very good driver (actually I broken my car once driving up to there). All the places, service, ambiance, landscape could reach 5-star level. Inside like the castle place, you could even stay all day only in the hotel.

We had an exceptional experience and stay in Babosas Village - Ricardo with his wife and the team are doing a great job. We enjoyed each and every minute here: great breakfasts as well as dinners on the terrace, great locations with two botanical gardens + teleferico/cable car to Funchal city center + traditional wicker basket sledges nearby.

First of all José was an amazing person and really nice and friendly and My family and I were really really happy with the hospitality that they brought to us to stay on this beautiful island of Madeira we would definitely stay here again one day in the Future! Mountain Eco Shelter 4, que tiene vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, jardín y terraza a unos 14 km de Puerto deportivo Marina de Funchal. Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!
