With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake District scenery. Breakfast was very nice! The restaurant is a MUST. Chef James cooks wonderful meals. Sorry we went to another place our second night! The staff and owner Mike couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was exceptional. We had room #6, which was apparently a “luxury” room…it was beautiful and much larger than we expected. Bed was VERY comfortable.

The country house with a terrace and mountain views has 2 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and 2 bathrooms with a walk-in shower. Towels and bed linen are offered in the country house. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. Every thing in the house were fantastic..we had a nice and pleasant stay even though we arrived at late night 11 pm ..Good quality of products what they charged from us is really reasonable and worthfull. Definitely i will come back again

Offering garden views, Barton Hall Country House is an accommodation located in Pooley Bridge, 30 km from Derwentwater and 37 km from World of Beatrix Potter. The property features mountain and lake views, and is 5 km from Askham Hall. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Absolutely fell in love with Barton Hall, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor and friendly staff, and the owner made us so welcome. I would recommend to everyone

High Grassings Country House is a 16-minute drive from Grizedale Forest and the cosy hamlet of Hawkshead is less than 2 miles away. The historical town of Ambleside is 13 minutes' drive away and Windermere is just 8 miles away. Location was out of the way down a narrow country road so quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was great, full english cooked fresh as well as continental breakfast offereings. The hosts were so nice and accomodating. There is lots of hiking close by, and it's a short drive to Ambleside & Hawkshead where there is shopping, restaurants and more walking/hiking opportunities. The room had everything we neeeded, including a wonderful view as far as you could see. We even liked being woken by the rooster early in the morning! Highly recommend.

The chalet is very big with all facilities Included . The WiFi is good . It is very near to all the major attractions. We covered Windermere, Bowness , Ambleside, and Keswick in 3 days . We wish to come back .

Set on high-ground the house overlooks Esthwaite Water and offers free parking. Everything, from the warmth of the welcome, the first class service we received, the setting and the overall quality.

Netherdene Country House Bed & Breakfast’s rooms all have a flat-screen TV as well as a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Free tea, coffee and ironing facilities are provided, and all rooms look across the countryside. I love this place. I booked it last minute as I got a late start to my drive up north and didn’t get as far as I was hoping, but my stay here was a pleasant surprise and I’m so glad I got to stop here. Incredibly clean, comfortable, with clear thought put into providing anything a guest might want. Breakfast was delicious, and the view out the window while eating provided a great start to the morning. I would gladly go out of my way to stay here again.

The old country style exudes cosiness from the moment of arrival and the discovery of the rooms, the lounge and the library with their enjoyable little details makes the experience even better. What makes Lindeth Fell truly memorable however is the thoroughy professional and friendly staff. Anything you want is but a question away and quite often the staff anticipate the question before you think of it. We particularly enjoyed the company of Ben, all-round good chap, always ready with advice or a quick "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" to add to the experience. In addition to having breakfast, we also stayed for dinner, which was of a quality truly exceeding expectation: perfectly proportioned, perfectly cooked with a nice selection of affordable wines to go with them. All in all, a most excellent experience!
