The place is so quiet and peaceful. The bed is comfy with essential facilities available. We enjoyed the view from our room and the location. We had avocado on toast and salmon and eggs on toast, and it was delicious. We were happy with the staff who were very understanding and cooperative.

The bed was really comfy, the shower was great and the room was clean! The property is just a short walk from all of the bars, shops and restaurants, so it’s really convenient whilst being slightly outside of the centre of Ambleside and being quieter and more peaceful than staying in the centre. The staff were so friendly and always said hello to us when we passed them! We loved watching the sheep in the field next to our window. We had such a lovely stay and would 100% recommend this property!

Breakfast was excellent. My stay was quiet and peaceful with the swifts singing me to sleep. A 5 minute walk to my meeting venue was a pleasure as the steep hill was downhill.

This is our second stay at Briery Wood. It is a lovely country hotel. Very comfortable & clean and in its own beautiful grounds. It is in a nice quiet & peaceful setting but not too far from Ambleside and within walking distance of Brockhole where you can take part in the activities or walk around the gardens or go on a boat to Ambleside or Bowness The staff at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming and the food is lovely. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
