Our host was wonderful, full of knowledge and recommendations, and a joy to chat with. Our room was beautiful-spacious, clean and comfortable, and the roll top bath was a real luxury. Ees Wyke Country House is an elegant Georgian property in the Lake District, less than 3 miles from the town of Hawkshead. Breakfast was excellent. We loved having afternoon tea and scones in the drawing room, and a refreshing cider served while we read. Books about Beatrix Potter and a sunny window seat to snuggle up and read were very much appreciated.

Amidst the scenery of the Lake District, this family-run bed and breakfast provides rooms with free Wi-Fi and views of the fells. good location, close to major road but still peaceful, also close to bus stop. Opposite is an inn well worth a visit.
