高野山 真田坊 蓮華定院 -Koyasan Sanadabo Rengejoin- se găsește în Koyasan, la aproximativ 39 km de Kishi Station și la 46 km de Matsushita Park. The temple is relatively small, but very cosy. They have a beautiful rock garden and a pond with koi fish. The monks and the staff are very friendly. You can attend a 40 min meditation at 5pm and a service at 6am. The temple is located somewhat outside of the city centre (10 min walk) which means that there are no day tourists (only those who stay overnight - still many). I stayed for 3 nights, during the day the temple was very peaceful. I was staying in an expensive room with a private bath+shower and a great view onto a small rock garden, which was very peaceful. Most rooms don’t have own facilities, though, and you’ll have to observe bathing hours (6-9pm) to use the communal baths (separate for men and women). The food was excellent.

Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. Beautiful temple and garden. The location is perfect.

高野山 宿坊 大明王院 -Koyasan Shukubo Daimyououin- se află în Koyasan, la aproximativ 39 km de Kishi Station și la 45 km de Matsushita Park. Staying here was one of my favorite experiences on the trip. I enjoyed the morning prayer and the cemetery near by. The food suprised and delighted.

Set in Shirahama, within 200 metres of Shirahama Beach and 1.2 km of Ezura Beach, Shirahama no Yado Daigo offers free WiFi throughout the property. The hostess (who's also the owner) was a very nice and friendly person. Breakfast was complimentary and the hostess even made breakfast by herself to guests every morning and it was delicious! The room is equipped with tatami floor and was super clean. There was no bed but instead futon was provided and you need to set it up by yourself at night which was interesting. It was a special experience to get a chance to sleep in a Japanese futon. If you don't know how to set it up they will help you too. The bathroom is big and equipments were new. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the beach. It's also close to a bus stop which takes you to surrounding sightseeing places. There are convenient store and supermarket within walking distance and you can buy fireworks there to play at the beach at night. If we come back to Shirahama in the future we will choose to stay here again.

Minshuku Sumiya se bucură de o locație excelentă în cartierul Kawayu Onsen din Tanabe, la 12 km de Hosshinmon Oji Shrine, la 20 km de Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art și la 23 km de Kumanoshi... The overall service was excellent. The food service was really good.

高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin- se află în Koyasan, la aproximativ 38 km de Kishi Station și la 45 km de Matsushita Park, și pune la dispoziție o grădină, precum și parcare privată gratuită. Amazing Dinner Buddhist vegetarian in a traditional very wonderful setting. Private bath tub in Juinior Suite with view to tres and forest. Morning Prayer and Meditation in temple 7-8 am. Second visit after 7 years - still fascinating and I would return again. It seems to be the most stylish option for temple stay in Koyasan.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara features outdoor and indoor hot spring baths, only a 2-minute walk from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes. this is the best hotel that I have stayed in on my trip through Japan so far the owner is a very interesting and lovely person and you can just feel how passionate these people are about their hotel the food was amazing and I enjoyed the onsen and view from my room's window a lot
