Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. It was my most extraordinery accomocation in Japan. We spent here 2 nights in the 2 room family suite with own bathroom. We used the small onsen on the groundfoor as well. (The tattoos was not problem there.) The vegan breakfasts and dinners were very delicious (even my son said, that it was great. 😀) The staff can speak quite good in english. The morning ceremony is a must, you can feel the peace in your heart. We took a walk in the sourrounding temples, cementary and in the mountains. This place is like an other world. I wish if all the world would be the same. Thank you for all!

A 1000 year-old Buddhist temple, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in offers Japanese-style accommodation, a beautiful garden and free WiFi. The food was excellent. And the staff was really nice

The private dining in a traditional Japanese setting was exquisite, and the onsen was a relaxing highlight. Participating in the morning prayer provided a unique spiritual connection. The monks' parting gift added a personal touch to our departure. If you seek a remarkable and culturally rich stay in Koyasan, I highly recommend this hotel.

Truly an experience I’ll never forget. The Monks are all so kind and welcoming. There ceremonies, the food, the history and culture. You feel part of the family and that feeling will stay forever. The entire experience from train to cable rail car, is all part of an experience that is priceless. Nearby sites and the town itself on Mt. Koya are unbelievable.

Exceptional location - close to the beach, restaurants and supermarket. The staff was very friendly and helpful, went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The breakfast was freshly made daily and varied during our stay. Can not recommend this location enough.

An unforgettable experience at a lovely guesthouse attached to a Buddhist temple. The accommodations were very spacious and the location both convenient and lovely. The vegan feasts for dinner and breakfast were amazing. Koyasan is not to be missed!

Located in Koyasan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 高野山 宿坊 常喜院 -Koyasan Shukubo Jokiin- offers free private parking. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Very special experience, absolutely worth it!

Terletak di daerah Gunung Koya yang sakral, 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- adalah sebuah kuil bersejarah dan akomodasi untuk para pengunjung. The temple stay was wonderful. Our room was gorgeous, looking into an inner garden, with a lovely bathroom and a huge wardrobe. It was spotlessly clean and extremely spacious. We were offered hakatas, and took the delicious veggie dinner and breakfast in a side room of the temple. The staff were so polite and helpful and one monk took us on a very informative tour of the graveyard after dark on Halloween - perfect. We were lucky enough to attend the morning prayer ceremony with only one other guest which made it very intimate, in the stunning inner sanctum. The whole building and its gardens are really fabulous. I wasn’t sure what to expect and if we would feel like intruders, but the stay was way beyond our expectations
