Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. It was my most extraordinery accomocation in Japan. We spent here 2 nights in the 2 room family suite with own bathroom. We used the small onsen on the groundfoor as well. (The tattoos was not problem there.) The vegan breakfasts and dinners were very delicious (even my son said, that it was great. 😀) The staff can speak quite good in english. The morning ceremony is a must, you can feel the peace in your heart. We took a walk in the sourrounding temples, cementary and in the mountains. This place is like an other world. I wish if all the world would be the same. Thank you for all!

Lovely people and the rooms looking out onto the garden was amazing.

My stay at this hotel in Koyasan, managed by monks, was an unforgettable experience. The monks' hospitality and guidance throughout our stay were exceptional. The private dining in a traditional Japanese setting was exquisite, and the onsen was a relaxing highlight. Participating in the morning prayer provided a unique spiritual connection. The monks' parting gift added a personal touch to our departure. If you seek a remarkable and culturally rich stay in Koyasan, I highly recommend this hotel.

Situated in Koyasan in the Wakayama region, 宿坊 光明院 features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Our best stay in Japan, an experience we will never forget. The temple itself is a beautiful, peaceful place just a few steps away from Okunoin. Our room was spacious and clean, really comfortable and equipped with everything we needed: yukata and tanzen, towels and toothbrush, tea set; toilets were shared but located in the same corridor. The food was light yet delicious and made us feel full and happy :) The monks have been welcoming and we really apprecciated having the chance to attend the ceremonies and the meditation held in the beautiful main hall; they communicate in english and in the room you can find detailed english information about the activities. We didn't use it because we had other plans but there is also a onsen for the guests. We left Koyasan feeling so serene and wish to be back one day!

Shirahama no Yado Daigo asub Shirahamas, 200 meetri kaugusel Shirahama rannast ja 1,2 km kaugusel Ezura rannast. Kogu majutusasutuses on tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Exceptional location - close to the beach, restaurants and supermarket. The staff was very friendly and helpful, went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The breakfast was freshly made daily and varied during our stay. Can not recommend this location enough.

Offering a garden and garden view, 高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin- is located in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 47 km from Subaru Hall. An unforgettable experience at a lovely guesthouse attached to a Buddhist temple. The accommodations were very spacious and the location both convenient and lovely. The vegan feasts for dinner and breakfast were amazing. Koyasan is not to be missed!

Located in Koyasan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 高野山 宿坊 常喜院 -Koyasan Shukubo Jokiin- offers free private parking. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Very special experience, absolutely worth it!

高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- on ajalooline tempel ja külalistele sobiv majutus. Hotell asub pühas Koya mäe piirkonnas. The temple stay was wonderful. Our room was gorgeous, looking into an inner garden, with a lovely bathroom and a huge wardrobe. It was spotlessly clean and extremely spacious. We were offered hakatas, and took the delicious veggie dinner and breakfast in a side room of the temple. The staff were so polite and helpful and one monk took us on a very informative tour of the graveyard after dark on Halloween - perfect. We were lucky enough to attend the morning prayer ceremony with only one other guest which made it very intimate, in the stunning inner sanctum. The whole building and its gardens are really fabulous. I wasn’t sure what to expect and if we would feel like intruders, but the stay was way beyond our expectations
