Nanto

The setting was magnificent. A very beautiful peaceful little village with magnificent mountain scenery.

The staff Yulley is so sweet and friendly. She served us all the time.
Dinner and breakfast both are perfect. Classical Japanese style.

Located in the Gokayama hot-spring area, Gokasanso offers Japanese and Western-style accommodations with a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and wear Japanese Yukata robes. Our 2nd time in this ryokan! Love the outdoor onsen! 30 mins drive to shirakagawo! There is also 2 unesco heritage near here which is less popular than shirakagawo. Beautiful view from our room!

Kadokyu Ryokan is situated in Takaoka, 48 km from Kenrokuen Garden, 20 km from Toyama Station, and 25 km from Toyama-kō. It is located 48 km from Kanazawa Castle and provides a housekeeping service. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The location in front of Takaoka Daibutsu was the best. It's a historic inn, nice Japanese style room, and the staff was kind.
Himi
Eihokaku is a 3-star property set in Himi. This 3-star hotel offers free WiFi. Guests can enjoy sea views.

Traditional ryokan experience with tatami rooms and onsen. The hosts do not speak English so it was quite interesting to speak using mobile translators (but everything was OK ;)). The woman was really nice and warmcharming. We had really nice and big room with view to garden with small pond and fish. Onsen - bath - was also a great experience and there was noone! Just relax and calm. The location was also good - close to Takaoka station.

a must stay Japanese style tatami hotel. the onsen are awesome, they provide late night ramen is a bonus. another great thing is their breakfast, plenty of selection.
This hotel has an onsen, but just as importantly, the hot spring water is available in your room in a smallish but wooden tub. Can't beat soaking in hot spring water in your own room. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and slept on futons on the tatami mats. Breakfast selection was vast, and Japan oriented. We really enjoyed the shrimp tempura.
Very pleasant stay. It has outdoor onsen and food provided by the hotel was good we choose to stay in tatami style room and we love it . hotel provide shuttle to go to places of interest too.
