Warm and friendly welcoming (both our hosts were lovely to us), spending the night in a tradicional Japanese home, the best toilet facilities in my entire trip, good heating, delicious homemade meals!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Tanakaya is situated in Kurobe, 29 km from Toyama-kō and 36 km from Toyama Station. The staff Yulley is so sweet and friendly. She served us all the time. Dinner and breakfast both are perfect. Classical Japanese style.

Only a 3-minute walk from Unazuki Onsen Train Station, Kurobe Unazukionsen Yamanoha offers Japanese and Western-style accommodations with a flat-screen TV. Buffet dinner & breakfast offer great varieties of food. Fresh & delicious. Rooms are spacious & comfortable. Enjoy the good onsen with stunning views & tranquil environments. Table tennis & karaoke available. Great location, close to all transport & points of attraction. Staffs are helpful & friendly. Value for money. Vacation here far exceeds my expectation and surely I will re-visit this hotel.

At Akaokan, guests can relax in the spacious public hot-spring baths and visit the Historic Villages of Shirakawa-gō and Gokayama, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated a 20-minute drive away. The Japanese style room was amazing. Very spacious and comfortable. The dinner was a lot, quite filling and very delicious local dishes. The staff were also very accommodating of our requests.

Located in the Gokayama hot-spring area, Gokasanso offers Japanese and Western-style accommodations with a flat-screen TV. The room had incredible views of the snowy mountains, the meals had a lot of fresh, local, and seasonal food, the hot spring was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Close to both Kojo Park Zoo and Zuiryu-ji Temple, Daibutsu Ryokan is situated in Takaoka and has a public bath and garden. This 2-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. Beautiful little Ryokan with japanese breakfast, big rooms and small onsen. Hiking to Himi was a great experience.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Shiroyamasou is situated in Asahi, 44 km from Toyama-kō and 15 km from Kurobe-Unazukionsen Station. Wonderful traditional japanese inn with tatami rooms and large furo bath. Quiet neighbourhood. Serves japanese breakfasts & dinners also.

Kadokyu Ryokan is situated in Takaoka, 48 km from Kenrokuen Garden, 20 km from Toyama Station, and 25 km from Toyama-kō. It is located 48 km from Kanazawa Castle and provides a housekeeping service. The location in front of Takaoka Daibutsu was the best. It's a historic inn, nice Japanese style room, and the staff was kind.

Located in Himi in the Toyama region, La se ri Resort and Stay provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Literally perfect. Amazing staff at check-in, fabulous views, great baths. Everything you expect from given pictures and more!

Located within 700 metres of Kurobe Gorge and 13 km of Kurobe-Unazukionsen Station in Kurobe, Kurobe UnazukiOnsen Togen features accommodation with seating area. Quiet and perfect for weekend get-a-way. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We will consider coming back next year.
