Offering a terrace and hot spring bath, Maruyama Onsen Kojyokan is situated in Minami Uonuma, 2 km from Maiko Snow Resort. Free private parking is available on site. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The room is cozy and the onsen is very nice. Most importantly, all staff were helpful especially when I lost my car key. They arranged a car to pick me back and on the next day, took me to find it. Luckily, it was found and I was so blessed to choose this ryokan. Highly recommended!

Guest rooms offer both air conditioning and heating facilities. Each room is equipped with a fridge, a personal safe and a TV with satellite channels. All rooms come with a seating area. The food at breakfast and dinner was varied and exceptional. All of the dishes I tried I liked , and they had a nice variety of western and Japanese. The room we had was huge and very comfortable. The onsen facilities were excellent, and very well kept. We are skiers and this hotel was very well setup for skiers. They have locker rooms for storage as well as changing, and on checkout day you can leave all your luggage , go ski, come back and change and then leave. But what makes this hotel a standout is the staff. I speak limited Japanese but had no issues communicating with the staff either speaking directly to them or using google translate. They are kind, patient and will do anything to help you. On checkout day, we went skiing and came back at 11:30 and needed to use the courier service taqubin which is conveniently located inside the hotel gift shop. However, we failed to notice beforehand that the shop takes a close break from 11:30 until 3:30 and our train leaves at 3;15. We were very stressed but the lady who runs the store and handles the courier said no problem, she would stay open just for us and give us time to change out of our ski clothes ,repack our ski gear and come back. It took us longer than we thought to repack and change because we had some trouble locating the ski bag as it was behind the counter in long storage. It didn’t matter, she still waited and when we finally finished she patiently helped us with the forms and everything was handled . When we left again for the station we had some time to wait so we purchased some small sweets and went back to give them to the staff as a thank you for all their exceptional efforts and help with our stay . They seemed genuinely surprised and happy and then walked out to wave us goodbye! How nice and a great happy surprise for us! We cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will be back someday.

Featuring 10 uniquely designed hot spring baths, Shosenkaku Kagetsu provides Japanese-style accommodation just a 5-minute walk from JR Echigo Yuzawa Train Station. It provides massage service and free Wi-Fi in public areas. This was a wonderful hotel with a great onsen and rotenburo/outdoor bath, excellent staff, kids room my 3 year old loved, and lounge tea, coffee, sake service. Would absolutely stay here again. Centrally located near the station in town.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Great place, superb staff especially Mieko who is fantastic.

Set in Myoko, within 37 km of Zenkoji Temple and 39 km of Nagano Station, Tomiya Ryokan offers accommodation with ski-to-door access and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The air-conditioned accommodation is 46 km from Ryuoo Ski Park. The ryokan has family rooms.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Tomiya Ryokan was a true authentic Japanese Ryokan, run by the most kind, warm-hearted family. Jintaro and Yukiye (sp?) prepared us the most amazing dinner (message them ahead for a dinner reservation). Their father, Hideo greeted us warmly. Their location is set right across from the Seki Onsen ski lift and the local community bus took us from the Sekiyama train station to a stop right in front of their ryokan. Their onsen is iron-rich, with fine red particulates and was perfect for evening, near full-moon soaking, but even better with the morning sunrise.

Ryounkaku Matsunoyama onsen, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Tokamachi, 38 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort, 36 km from Maiko Snow Resort, as well as 47 km from Lake Hokuryuko. This 3-star ryokan features a spa experience, with its hot spring bath and public bath. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The staff were fabulous. Couldn’t do enough to make your stay wonderful and comfortable.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. breakfast was excellent, it didn't seem much at first but once you started, the flavor of the different vegetables accompanied by the selected rice was incredible. Also loved the sake pairing of our French dinner.

A public bath is available for guests, along with an open-air bath. The ryokan features a hot tub and a lift. It's an excellent place to stay to enjoy the tranquility and beautiful scenery. The service is attentive and the dinner is good.

Set within 12 km of Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and 35 km of Naeba Ski Resort, Satoyama Jujo THE HOUSE provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Minami Uonuma. This ryokan offers free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The ryokan features family rooms. Everything was so serene and pretty. The staff were Very kind and welcoming. They found out it was our anniversary and made us a special dessert! We have all kinds of food restrictions and they took them all into consideration. The room was amazing and had a beautiful veiw. The food was very good and all locally sourced. 100 percent would recommend this ryokan! The onsen in the room was so peaceful and the common one had a view to the mountains
